Go Fast Parts via MHP

Just got these MHP LT headers in the mail.

Gonna install them tomorrow and dynoing it on Saturday. My car will be running on a Kleemann K2 tune, if anyone's wondering.

Is it just the photos or are those headers rough and daggy on the inside welds?

i was thinking this as well it looks like there is a long hole in the welds. Anyways shouldn't you keep the tune MHP as well so they are matching with the LTHs or is Kleeman going to tune them to the headers with a custom tune?

They finally cleaned up the welds at the flanges. Are you installing it yourself or having it done?

They are a bit rough, but there are no holes in the welds. As for the tune, I originally had K1, so I went ahead with the K2. The K2 flash should work with most aftermarket headers.

From what I've inquired, they have no, or at the very most minuscule effects on the flow. We'll see when I put the car on the dyno this Saturday.

Fair enough, I must admit I don’t know. I’m only aware of paying for port matching and super smooth headers to ensure as perfect as possible flow characteristics when I use to be serious about chasing horsepower.

I’m interested to see what the dyno says. Still without back to back comparisons with other headers, it probably won’t say much unless there is a major problem. Goodluck, I hope they perform well for you.

These headers work very well with the Kleemann software. I picked up 44/32 in the transition from shorty headers. Best ET dropped from 11.99 to 11.59, best trap speed went from 117.19 to nearly 122. That is serious real world performance over stock and my K2 setup. The car is no nonsense loud at wot but more civilized when cruising.

Congrats, can't wait to see how they perform.

Quick question, from the pictures, it looks like there are at least 5 places for o2 sensors. I thought we had 4 o2 sensors (pre and post cat converters). What are the extra hole(s) used for?

Wideband o2 sensors for tuning/data logging.

yah and the welds at the flanges...are meh. But hey if they make HP and they last the lifetime of the car and you don't care about how it looks (they're hard to see anyways) then you're good to go.

Can't wait to see and hear how they perform on saturday!

It's more of the angle the pictures were taken and the low lighting. If you look at the pictures with the flash, the insides of the primaries are smooth after the welds.

Am sorry, I see your point in ''function over form'', but those look like an off the shelf product of any normal exhaust Shop.

You have to also take into consideration the manufacturing costs with the final product you receive

I ask this because price determines how one should expect the product should be...

it is already well known that if you want power out of the 63 LT's are the way to go

so I ask again how much are these going for?
