edit: shop around mine was $320, the most I was really willing to pay to keep a service relationship going with my dealer, plus they hooked me up with some other borderline warranty fixes I needed that could have been denied

Just paid $415, including 10% tax. Yeah, I know that's a high rate, but WA state has no income tax. There's supposedly online coupons, I didn't even know, my SA got them for me.

Mind you all the inspect items are potential chargeable line items if there is anything wrong. For example it never fails when I take a car for the first check and they tell me...front brakes have 40% left on the pads. you mean after 6000 miles
I don't think so

I had my B Service completed last week and paid $455 out the door. I have repeatedly complained about the price I pay for service at local dealerships. I have shown then coupons from other dealerships in other parts of the country and they almost laughed at me. They said no one will be as cheap as a California Dealer because there is a dealership at every corner (BS) and they have to be competitive. Every time I go, I feel violated.

Gentlemen,
If you have the resources and the facilities, it pays to learn how to do these things yourself. I performed a Service B on my E63 last weekend, cost me $150 and that was for materials, oil and filters, air filter, using the lift on base, etc. I know that everyone doesn't have access to the auto hobby shops on military bases, but if your in a Mercedes Benz Car Club, that have DIY events. We've had several this year with the Greater Washington Sector. You could also visit your local Independent MB shop and pay them, to perform the work, as long as they are a certified Mercedes tech. It would be far cheaper then what your paying now. And it's not that I don't have the money to pay the stealership, I enjoy doing the services myself. Now if I do not have the knowledge to perform certain tasks, then I will take the car to the experts at Mercedes and let then stick it to me.

I certainly understand the most people don't have the time, or their simple not interested in perfroming these tasks for themselves. They would rather pay someone, I understand that. I speaking for myself, I just like getting grease and dirt on my hands, and have the satisfaction, that I performed the maintenance on my AMG. Then my wallet thanks me again and again.

Had my service b today at 16800 miles - Im at 23 months.
Had it done at Benzel Busch in Englewood NJ - thats where I bought it and they also emailed me a $50 coupon 2 weeks ago for service.
When I called to make my appointment they quoted me $425 (the regular C Class was on special for $290).
When I sat down with my advisor today he quoted me $290 - no complaints from me. Not sure if they included the C63 in the special or if he made a mistake. Anyhow, that plus the coupon, i was out the door at $267 for Service B.
Those of u in NNJ may want to check to see if that is the correct price for the Service B and get in there if you need it done soon - fair price imo.
The coupon however expires tomorrow.

I believe Tasho listed a general C class B service - which of course omits things for the C63 - for us it reads "inspect tires" First thing I check when I picked up was my tires.
The opther thing that popped up on the list was a brake fluid flush for the regular C at 20k miles, but not until 30k miles for us.

HI!
My 09 C63 is at 18k milesw right now and Service B is overdue.
I don`t drive this car very often, but I want to perform this ervice on my own.
Couls somebody please past all items that needs to be changed and the parts numbers associated?
I know about oil/oil filter/cabin filter?
What else needs to be changed?
Thank you very much.
Best regards

I paid about 400 too. All it is is glorified oil change. The rest of the stuff they do is no different than free multi point inspection they do at your oil change place... where it's free.
I don't even think they actually do it thoroughly. My dealership, for example, didn't lubricate my sunroof. I had to bring them car over to them again and ask them to do their frigging job.
I wouldn't pay for this service again. It's just an oil change + wipers change.

You can diy
or find a good MB indie shop. Have the book checked off and they can't deny warranty at MB.
Oil and filter 0w40 mobil1 and visible inspections of items is not rocket science nor beyond the reach of even the newest Backyard diy'r.
Service item check list is online.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
$500 they gotta be kidding,But I know they are not

Yeah, I do it all myself.
Just do not have a temperature controlled system for pumping tranny fluid back into the drain hole, so paid for the dealer to change the tranny oil.
Other than that 69Kmi and all serviced by me.
Oh wait, since I could not find instructions on my pano roof, paid for that too.
