Cmon, lets just face it, a half car by the 160 mph mark is hanging there with the other car, wouldn't you think?

I would like to see some sort of reconciliation (I am acting like Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter now) , wouldn't be better to have to friends on this forum rather that two enemies?. Ultimately the track will definately give you or him the braggin rights.

Better yet- do like Hagi and Mike @ Atco..Swap cars and race each other..that was Epic

No offense taken, but you really need to do a search on Jon before you proceed any further.

Ive given Jon more than enough rope to hang himself with. He is a Judas. This video was necessary to put him back to reality. No matter how marginal the victory.

Trust me when I tell you, if that was his car 1/2 a car ahead I would never hear the end of the factory freak BS and how the airbox mod and K&N's are BS.

Just do a search...

Jon's car seems faster down low then runs out of air on top. My $.02
Yes down low it shows more power-1/4 mile. But uptop 130+ propain gains. Ever so slightly.

I offered Jon this. I told him if your car is faster than take my keys and let me beat my own car with yours. His answer "Im not letting you drive my car"

You guys just don't know the history. The first 4 pages of people do.

40-130 is not a 1/4 mile. You speak of something you have no data about because you don't race from a dig.

Maybe if you learn to race from a dig you could use this as an excuse or show more power. You weight is the only reason you have a ever so slight gain down low.

If my up top is ever so slight... so is your down low Jon.. LOL. Same amount of gain and pull.

I was talking about the 1/4 mile before 130. Think about it. The 1/4 is about once you get the launch right than the trq and hp comes in DOWN LOW. Good luck at the dragstrip!

Except your missing a gear of data Jon. Our run begins at 4K in 2nd gear. Who knows how much you could gain or lose in that gear. Maybe you would lose enough to never come back at all.

What we ran was a HP compare. My car probably due to the box mod and K&N's has some more of it to overcome your weight difference and pull on you. Your weight down low is your power, you said it yourself. But the track will prove that also.

You cant use this run to compare bottom end power. The track will tell all. Its the only thing you got left Jon.

Out of curiosity, what are your AFRs?

Before I started the "ROW" box top thread last year, I looked at cutting the flap but was concerned with air flowing "underneath" the sensor with it cut vs through it like a "ROW" box top (you'll understand if you have the box tops off and I cannot explain it better) and throwing off the air readings and not adjusting properly. After I started the thread, Bruce also told me he has been performing this mod and has been working just fine.

How did they record your AFR John?

Hard to get an accurate reading IMO on the dyno. There is no way im running 14.75 flat... That would be super lean and I would run VERY hot. I have no heat issues at all.

Yeah, there is no way that # is accurate. I would have melted my pistons by now. LOL

14.7 is very lean. I would be seeing big heat problems. My chart doesn't move at all. Just flat across 14.7. I'm sure its not an accurate reading.

I'm running 12s. Aren't we all supposed to run in the 12s? I wonder if your 14s is from the airbox mod with the MAF not reading correctly since there is some air is flowing underneath the sensor instead of through it?

Quite possible.

What would be the effects though if the MAF not reading correctly? You figure I would have throw a CEL by now...

Hmmm... Ill bring it for another Dyno soon.

Why dont u just buy another airbox, cut the flap and try it out, u might like it. If not just change it out, and as for the charcoal filter did u give the cars ecu enough time to see if it will accept it w out throwing a cel? that could b the case.

a simple mod that is clearly adding HP that ur missing out on
