Should I get an oil change?
Considering how long it has been sitting, should I get an oil change? Would you recommend Service A instead of just an oil change? Anything else I need to consider given my situation?
I'm taking the car to the dealer on Friday to have the MBrace software updated.
John Mosqueda is the guy you should talk to in service. He took really good care of me along with Steve Hall in sales. Both are great with customer service and don't BS ya.

If you could pick either, which one would you go for?

Plus it has more ash (I think I have that right), a wear inhibitor.
My car sat for a long time at the dealer also. the only failure I had was a bad alternator. It was tough to diagnose because the symptoms were a bad battery. They replaced my battery which lasted a couple months before failing again. By then my warranty had expired and the alternator was not cheap!

I'm not sure why you're supposed to change the oil yearly if you're not driving much. That's exactly the advice I got with my Ducati. If you don't reach the mileage for an oil change, then you should still change it after a year has passed. "Stale" oil that's been sitting around, not being moved around, not being warmed up, can't be good for your car. Oil changes are usually around $100. Cheap insurance if you ask me.
