Every six months or 10k here in Canada. Unless I go to the track, then it's done as soon as I'm finished at the track.

Agree.
I suppose that if the car wasn't being used much, say only a few thousand miles a year, then you might do it more often.
Cheers, Pickles.

This car uses 9 quarts, which is almost twice the amount of most cars. The oil lasts longer b/c there is more of it circulating. A change at 3 K is a waste unless you are tracking the car. But to each there own. It never hurts to be overly cautious I suppose. Kind of like asking how often does everybody wash their car? You will get all sorts of different answers.

5K is good. 10K is WAY to long to wait.

Maybe you haven't had an oil analyst done..

Ive done a few and my oil was in very rough shape after 6000-7000km. The base Ph was very low among others.

is it really better to do it before 10k? I figured the car burns so much oil, you in add some oil its kinda like an oil change in itself.

I changed my first oil at 10k, but might do it more often if you guys really think its worth it.

I changed my oil 3 times in 2 years of ownership... once at 1 000km, another at 3 000km & the recent one at 5 500km... what a waste, gotta drive my car more now 'cuz I'm flushing barely used oil. LOL

I change every 7.5-8k. Oil analysis is very good. I also drive 20k/yr.
