Could any Austrailian folks please chime in, is this competitively priced?
I believe a base sedan in Australia is 132,800 and in US it is 59,800. I know there may not be a direct relationship because of various taxes, but that puts a US 507 sedan right around 76,300 and that may not include the lighting package lol

Pertplus,
For Austrailians it will in fact cost 170k however we US folks are very fortunate that it cost us about 60% less
Here is the Australian car configuration website http://www.driveaway.mercedes-benz.com.au/

I'm guessing it'll be around 75-80k USD when it arrives in the states.

You're forgetting that they are WAY more expensive over there than in the states. http://www.carsales.com.au/car/mercedes/c63/

Those numbers are just crazy, makes me wonder what the true cost to build the car is and what their margins are. Seems like MB is making all their money from ex-US sales.

It will be interesting to see what the options list might be on the Edition 507. The $170k price may not include all on road cost so you might be looking towards $180k.

I wonder how much the matte paint option will be in Australia? I'm still deciding on whether to go for it or not if I do end up trading in for a 507 at the end of the year.
Also am itching to find more news on the replacement C63. The new E Class coupe looks stunning.

That was my point. The prices for imported products in Australia drive the prices insanely high.

To this would have to add "on road costs" including "dealer delivery charge"/rego/CTP and Stamp Duty.
This would suggest - although not to our US friends - the 507 Edition is good value ie a tiny bit cheaper than the old PP with a few extra goodies.
