Facelift LED lights... how to run as DRL?
Hoping someone can help answer a question, wondering if there is any coding etc available that allows you to run the LED 'angel eye' or whatever it is called (circled in pic below) as a DRL when in auto light mode. I've tried searching the forum but not really seeing an answer, I know you can enable them as parking lights but my thought is to run them similar to the angel eyes on a BMW as DRLs. Any ideas? Apologies if I'm completely clueless on a way to do this now...

The C63 is at Mercedes getting some custom paint work and the illuminated sills - I'll ask the dealer tomorrow if they can turn on those lights as DRLs.

Not worth asking, the dealer won't be any help I'm sure.

Cool man, let us know how it goes. I just don't see them helping you modify your car from the stock setup, particularly given it will likely require some custom programming.
Did you get the illuminated doorsills from the dealer as well or are they just handling the installation?

This is a long-shot, but check out the engineering menu (see below).

Okay, so I spoke with the tech who was working on my car. There is not an obvious on/off setting in the menus that he knows how to access, but he said that's not to say it can't be done.
My guess it that because it's not actually used as a DRL in any country, it would likely have to be a deeper programming option to tie it to the lower LED lights.

I have a buddy who told me you can use most of the lights as DRL as long as you specify, with the software. He use to work for some import company. He did all the DRL lights for different car manufacturers, entering Canada. Here in Canada it's the law to have DRL. I have a friend who has texza software which he believes can do it but I'm a little apprehensive.

Here, the system would have to be tweaked a little to tie the headlight LED setup to the lower LEDs when the motor is running, because the only existing link is when the car is locked and unlocked... Someone should try emailing Benzline or using the GUI programmer though. You can't really mess something up just by taking a look.

I thought I saw a couple of 507 videos with just these lights on...maybe euro versions?
The easiest mod would be to tie in the current DRLs to this circuit and tag along on all of the software programming.

If you move the light selector from auto to either left or right it puts the bottom LED running strip on also along with the side lights and the lights you want on.
I have my side markers painted so only the bottom LED and the light you want on is shows on my car.
I realize its annoying to swap between light settings, but I wonder if I disable DRL if it would just put on the lights you want without the bottom led strip..
Does it work that way up in canada eh?

It should turn on for the BS if you enable DRL on US cars under the lighting menu? At least that's what MB Canada told me.

Everytime I shut the car off, it keeps them both on for a few seconds and it bothers me it can't stay that way.. looks bada$$.
Someone please figure this out soon.
