Okay guys, compare these 2 videos.
First one is of a Feb 2010 Built C63. Note the location icons and message for ESP Sport & ESP Off.
Second one is of a Jul 2010 Built C63. Note the word "SPORT" and the location of the icon for ESP off.
Can anyone confirm, if the Feb 2010 can be software updated to the Jul 2010, so the words "SPORT" appear when in ESP Sport mode?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Thanks for your input.

Wow. I didn't know there was a difference. I hate that huge triangle. I'm curious as well.

The crap thing about the location of the triangle, and blinkers for that matter, is they are blocked by the steering wheel.
Obviously, this depends on your seating position. But at a comfortable seating position for me, its all blocked. Grrr.

I dont think it can be updated to that. It's probably a different cluster. My 2010 does like the first one. I'll see if there is an update for esp and the cluster to see if it changes anything though. later this week that is.

I really doubt that a software update can change the location of the indicators. I'm certain the instrument clusters are different. It wouldn't make sense to have both indicators available on the cluster and not have one lit up. It would be unecessary.

Okay, i swapped the clusters over, between the two cars above in the video.
Worked perfectly. My "older" 2010 carried over the "SPORT" light from the "newer" 2010.
BUT- the odometer wasnt showing. It just showed ------- as the reading. I didint drive anywhere, and only started the engine for a minute or so. The tacho worked, and all the menu's worked etc.
If i were to get another cluster, how would i go about putting my cars KMS on the cluster? Would it auto populate after driving around the block? Or would it have to be coded?
Anyone?
Thanks

Ii think you best touch base with a dealer. They will need to verify your current cluster and set and certify your new cluster. If you don't there may be no end to the pain caused by having a car with unverifiable mileage. Better safe than sorry.

regarding the odo , I got the same dashes -------- , this one needs to be programed for the new cluster, also double check the tire pressure option in the cluster, you might find that the TPMS is not found message. This is because it need to be identified to the new cluster. I think you might need to pay a visit to the stealership.
For temporary use of the odo, you can do the following:
after driving the car around, switch the car off, open the door
don't press any button, the cluster will show you that you need to take the car key, wait for almost 1.5 to 2 min, then you'll see the your current trip odo, wait a little longer, you'll see the dashes flips back to your current odo.
I tried it, it's working
check this, it might help:
