I recently was driving my 2009 C63 and after driving around in the street for about 25 minutes (Bay Area B.S traffic) I parked and turned off the vehicle for about 30 minutes. Then after starting it, the engine was misfiring (no crazy shaking, but definitely misfiring) and the check engine light came on. I scanned the vehicle and it only showed code “P2540 Low pressure fuel system - Sensor Circuit Range / Performance”. Should I replace the fuel pumps right away or is there anything I should check/change before blaming the fuel pumps?
I have seen a lot of folks discuss about the same code, but I have not seen anyone suffer the misfiring dilemma I am having, just mostly performance issues.
I appreciate your help!
