What products did you use to clean, treat, primer, paint, etc?
I used por-15 products. sanded and used dremel to remove all rusting areas then cleaned and prep metal with por-15 degreaser and metal prep to help neutralize any rust I might have missed then used pre15 top coat in gray and silver.. less then $70 in those products to help stop further corrosion..
Anyone remove the side skirt graphics from their 507? If so, did you use heat and any sort of solvent? They're not my style, and as I get older they become even less my style.
@Jasonoff Very nice....is that a power steering reservoir? And if so, why change it?
It is. I run with the speed sensitive steering unplugged for better (heavier) feel at the track. I find this heats the fluid up more so there's always some seepage out the OE reservoir cap.
This has a much larger fluid capacity which will help with cooling and I have the Anti-Splash Pressure Relief Valve to go with it incase it still gets too hot.
I'm also going to plumb in a T-valve on the return line for easy flushing of the system.

Replaced trashy plastic valve covers with aluminum covers/.
The plastic cover I took off the drivers side is less than six month old, in case someone needs it.
I know coupes are heavier, but how much can be saved with a good gutting? 700lbs would be amazing, IMO
Last time I had it on the scales it was 3380lbs. It has since had more weight stripped so it could be high 3200 to low 3300. The factory says it's 3924 but mine was just a smidge under 4000.

Very nice, I actually do have a blower. I'm more interested in what this thing will do in handling and braking with 700 less pounds to throw around though. For me, 3,200 lbs would be about perfect for this chassis. Maybe someday when I'm not dailying it anymore.
