So I am trying to figure out if my car is actually tuned. When I bought it (not first owner) I was told it had a Renntech tune, but out of curiosity I emailed Renntech and he had told me it was de-tuned a few years back.
Now have never driven or been in a C63 before I can't compair. The only thing I have to go on is (while using Torque obd app ) I can see my throttle amount and it does go over 77% ( not sure if this is a official Merc number of the throttle percentage).
I guess it could be tuned from another company but not sure even how to tell.

Take it to a dealer. A lot of dealers do the Renntech tune so I'm sure they could tell you if it is or not.
It's not Renntech tune, I know forsure its not them
can MB tell if there is another companies tune.
I just don't want to spend awack of money on a tune if my car aleady has one.

You should be able to take it to any tuner and they could tell you if it is tuned or not. Make sure it is a reputable place, or they could just say "it's not tuned" to try and sell you theirs. You could also take it to a dealer and have them reset it to stock to be 100% sure if you want to go that route.Originally Posted by Eurojet

Can you spin second gear in 80 degrees? Easiest way to tell if it's tuned lol a stock car feels like a Honda accord 4 cylinder going back to stock tuning.
Edit.
sorry I thought I was in the w205 section. Disregard what I said above.
Double edit is your car a white 2013 p31 coupe? Might be my old car and I have the renntech handheld for it!

thanks , forsure not going the back to stock route. I'm hoping after the winter ( I don't drive it in the winter) I will pull the trigger on some LTH's which means I need a re-tune for the catless part of things. Originally Posted by INS1GNIA

A tune is not just a box to check off and there's a lot more to this than tuned vs. not tuned. Your car could have a sloppy, outdated tune that is holding it back.Originally Posted by Eurojet

Well worth the "wack of money" to do it right: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ysixtuned.html
I'm not complaining about the performance of the car, Im happy with it currently and if this is the performance stock then eventually getting it tuned will just be a bonus
simply trying to find out if it is or isn't and if it is whom by.

if you picked up a tune from us, we'd know by the time of writing file if there is an existing tune. other than that, its pretty difficult for anyone to make this determination unless you are catless and have no CEL for that.
