I believe 1801 does not come with the spring attachment that secures it to the hood... and trying to remove that spring attachment proves to be difficult as its glued onto the the two plastic posts on the rear side of the original badge. Try and order 1701; the wait may be better then breaking/ruining your original badge

I can confirm A0008171801 is not the right part after ordering it from ebay.

The right part is A0008171701 it comes with the spring attachment and pops right in no issues.

Again the RIGHT part is A0008171701.

Yes, it can be ordered from your dealer.

Mine was just installed last week.

install is so easy, squeeze and pop.
2 seconds job.
Go pop your hood NOW, you will see what i meant easy.
