I think i like the Modal set up with the way they isolate the filter from the rest of the engine and heat
who makes the carbon fiber ram air set up you have? Very nice

I respectfully disagree, it is not truthful to say every other company aside from XYZ does not provide gains. Our design has been tested internally and with users (on this forum) and has shown time and time again to improve 60-130mph times and increase power. We use in house ANSYS FLUENT CFD conducted by a simulation expert to create and organic flow profile that optimizes the fluid path. Additionally, our heat shields have a reflective thermal barrier and a sealed top to prevent hot air from entering the filter element.
You can see all of our performance test data, as well as a bunch of customer testimonials in this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...ks-intake.html

best bang for your buck is downpipes by far. The fact you can get downpipes for $750 (1/2 the cost of some of these intakes) is crazy
our kit isnt done, Carbon tubes or powdercoated tubes should really look awesome especially with our custom turbo heat shield. we will have a spot for your engine builder.

Uh how do you think air gets the the filters in the sealed OEM boxes? There are air scoops and an intake tube that draws air from the front of the car and rams it into the sealed airbox - it still uses that do primarily draw air in aftermarket intakes sealed to the hood, closed, open, etc.

do these K & N filters have a part ID #? I have the same intakes as you (ZAC) and definitely want to get a good quality smaller filter like that...

Hi Jatt143,
I am looking into purchasing the same cai from BMS. Was this an issue that warrants concern? The issue of metal shavings within the CAI. Was it resolved by the BMS?
Many thanks,

im not the person you asked but I’ll give my experience with BMS.
The piping is cheap and came with metal shavings that I ended up having to use wd40 and water to get out. But before that was an issue they sent me the wrong parts and gave me flak for trying to hold them accountable for it.
Once the actual parts I was supposed to get arrived; the piping doesn’t have any crimping or a way for the hoses to stay attached even with the clamps. So you have to crimp the end of the piping yourself if you don’t want the hose to pop off.
Don’t waste your money with BMS.

The new smaller one can be purchased here.. and is as small a diameter possible while still fitting the 100mm inlet.
Our website has just received a major update, more spare parts will be online soon, in the meantime if you need anything just contact us via the website.

Damnnn, i didn't know BMS rolled like that. I thought they manufactured in-house. I'm not too concerned about the price hike because ordering, redistribution, quality control, all that costs money but i didn't think they just sold pre-fab stuff from China.
