That sounds like no cats at all to me!

I have the secondary cats removed and I don't think the car has ever sounded that loud.

I told myself I could wait a little longer before doing the secondary cat delete. But after hearing this, oh man... now I'm looking up local exhaust shops

Thanks, I’ve never done it before so I hope it works, if it does you can see it make hardly any difference between stock and module

Try this:
-start the car in Comfort mode with factory valves closed.
-now get out of the car (keep it running) and use the ASR key remote to open the valves.

If you're still not able to hear a big difference than there is something wrong with your unit or you have a hearing problem...
Lower the seats, you can hear more pops and bangs.

That's definitely not right... did you install correctly? maybe it's a faulty module? I hear NO difference, that's definitely not right.

Also cutting a hole in the floor board should enhance them as well

thanks for the vid, it did upload properly.

Can you shine a flashlight all up in there and record record what happens with the various buttons? I agree it sounds like no difference between factory and “open”, only “factory/open” and “closed”.

I don’t think it’s installed wrong the connectors wouldn’t fit the wrong way round and anyway I can hear the valves doing something so the module must be activating them.

What year are the cars that you guys have installed the module on, mine is 2018 and I’m wondering if it works on the latest one.

Yes I’ll do that when I’ve got a moment.

The install is only one way so you can't miss...

Your module is indeed changing the valves (the hearable mechanical noise) but there is no sound change... I know from previous experience that hearing the mechanical clicking noise of the valves not necessarily changes the sound level...

The only thing you can do from your side is to try and find someone with another C63 and try your unit on that car for double checking. If that gives the same result than I would contact Daniel or Michael at ASR and ask them what to do.

Is that on a cold engine, mine does that but when hot it’s how you see it on the vid, have you switched between the top two buttons to see if there’s a difference, the right one, as far as I know switches back to stock and allows the original button to work, well it does on mine and as you see on the vid it makes no difference.

One advantage is it starts on loud without having to press the start button twice with foot off the brake.

I’m not with the car at the moment so I’ll have a good look to see what happens to the valves movement between stock and module tomorrow.

Maybe the rear valves are opening OK, and that's the mechanical noise you can hear. But the center H valve might not be opening and from what I understand, this is the one that is fully open on a cold start and then closes. So having the H valve fully open makes a big difference to the noise output.

H valve isn't controlled by the module, so it does its own thing whether you have the module or not, and he is still having a different outcome than everybody else... It's not the h valve that's the problem

Are you in "comfort mode" when hitting the button?

I can definitely hear a difference in tone when you press the button, but in comfort mode, the car idle's at a lower RPM, so the sound difference won't be as pronounced as trying this in Sport+ mode.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t know or even notice how idle speed and sound increases in Sport+/Race.
