A bit ugly and not sure why MB couldn't have designed a bumper that meets the regulation w/o these, but it is what it is.

Could be worse!

At least these are easily removable with a screwdriver. Now that everyone has pointed out the bumps on the coupe i can't unsee them... I wonder if there is some way to remove them they look like an after thought.

I don't think they are easily removable. They have to absorb 5 mph impacts w/o damaging the bumper, so there are usually cutouts in the bumper. To remove ours, the bumper has to be filled and painted afterwards. Here's a thread from somebody who has done it.

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...ore-after.html

I don't mind them too much actually. W/o them the bumper looks kinda naked with the US narrow plate, IMO. The bumper was designed for the EU wider plates. And they do protect the bumper from damage if somebody hits your car in the parking lot.

amazing build out, love it. Mine will be almost the same. Can you do me a favor and share some photos of the rear seats as well as the doors. I started a separate thread asking about these specific seats 801 and if the color is a dark grey or if it is closer to white/silver. I was concerned it may not look good, but looking at yours it looks pretty sweet. Also how to the seat belts look? worth keeping silver? Thank you in advance and congrats on the awesome ride.

Above question is for AJRDU (or others with this seat style)

Thanks for sharing.
Quick question, did the AMG embossed crest in the front head rest come as standard?

Funny thing is I don't know. I didn't know they would be there until I picked it up. Must be part of the nappa leather (standard seats in the 63S)?

I'll try and do pics this weekend. I'm swamped with work right now and haven't really even seen it out in natural light yet. I went back and forth on the silver seatbelts but decided to keep them and I'm glad that I did. The door has a light insert that matches the seats. I wasn't really a fan of the light insert against the aluminum trim, so I selected the grey oak trim. It puts the wood on the center stack and on the doors around the speakers and seat controls. looks pretty sharp.

Congrats. Looking good in black! I really like the last picture. Shows the wide side blade and meaner front fascia with the areo package really well. Almost what my spec is gonna look like, except for the CF packages and different wheels.

Does the rear diffuser looks different than aero package if you choose CF packages?

Different in what sense? It's the same design, but the diffuser is CF w/ the areo splitter in gloss black. At least that's what is expected based on the latest information from an AMG specialist. Basically as seen on the intro models from the Bilster Berg unveiling.

Here's a closeup. The aero package adds a splitter to the rear diffuser that goes from above the exhaust pipes around and along the bottom of the diffuser. That part will be gloss black as seen here, but the underlying diffuser will be CF.

Yes I was referring to the design. So you will keep the same design as aero but adding carbon fiber.

I understand the only different diffusor in terms of design is the standard with non aero kit right?

Correct. W/o the aero package, the diffuser lacks the more aggressive splitter. If you add the CF packages w/o the aero, then the entire rear diffuser is carbon fiber. There will be no gloss black bits. If you add aero and CF, then the main part of the diffuser becomes carbon fiber, but the aero splitter remains gloss black. I think that's where a lot of the confusion came from earlier regarding which parts are actually carbon fiber if you get the CF and aero packages. The more aggressive side blades supposedly will be gloss black instead of carbon fiber if you combine the aero with the CF packages and a credit should be given on the final order to account for the lack of carbon fiber side sills, but nobody has been able to confirm the credit and how much it is yet. I've decided to go for the CF packages in combination with the aero package and take it up with MBUSA if the credit doesn't come through.

when is yours coming in? Mine should be delivered first week of March if all goes well. I think we will be the first ones with all 3 packages(aero, 2 cf packages) unless someone else has one coming sooner. Anyone have all 3 packages coming in sooner?

My delivery is scheduled for May 6 in Sindelfingen Germany. I'm deliberately waiting out the winter in Europe.

My car just arrived at the dealership! Picking it up on Saturday (pictures to follow). I had an 11/22 build date. It reached the Baltimore port on 1/13.

Does anyone know the specs on ground clearance for cars with the aero package (vs without). Curious if there is a difference and based on the pics shared recently it looks like aero front fascia may be lower, but I may be wrong. Appreciate any guidance.
