So after going to a few shops, I was informed that my model does not have any secondary cats. Along with not having resonators, all that my car has are mufflers and primary cats.
Does anybody have suggestions as to what I can do to increase the sound of the car? The only options I can think of are catless downpipes or an axleback exhaust system.
Thanks in advance

Either there are no sensors after the primary cats, which as I understand would be unusual, or you're being lied to.Originally Posted by Magno63

I just had my secondary cats, atleast that's what I was told they were, cut out a couple weeks ago. I seriously doubt they actually cut out my primary cats as (1) theres no smell of gas (2) I have no CEL and (3) the car still isn't that loud.
Maybe they want to convince you to buy something that costs more than just a couple hundred bucks?
I see you're in Glendale, if you want to come down to Culver City I have a place that'll take care of it no problem.

When they lifted your car, were the secondary cats right up top before the exhaust went up into the engine? Originally Posted by Encore818

Yeah Culver City is only about a 30 minute drive, I'd appreciate it!

Yes it was the last visible bit of the horizontal exhaust before it went vertical.Originally Posted by Magno63

Would that not be the secondary cats? Its very possible I had no idea what I was looking at, I'm way out of my depths with this stuff.
But at the same time I hesitate to believe that they cut out my primary cats because of all those reasons I mentioned above. Especially for the fact that I don't think the car would just take having no cats with no problem. Surely there would have to be a check engine light right??

When you look at MBs diagrams for the 2019 C63s’ exhaust system there’s only one bulge after each manifold and then nothing until the mufflers.
whether there’s a cat or two or a particulate filter, they are all in that one bulge.

Here's pictures of my replacement exhaust
Only bulge is near the tips at the end

That picture doesn't show the cats at all.
What diagram were you able to find? Any site I can find that shows such diagrams has the same image for the 2018 and 2019 and both show two sets of cats.
I'd be really surprised to know I cut so much out and have had no problems at all.

It is from dealer's parts department. I gave them my 2019 vin and asked them a random question about exhaust and they pulled it up on the screen and showed me.Originally Posted by Encore818

That seems so bizarre to me.
So not only is there seemingly no particle filter, but there are also no secondary cats. I made a few cuts and I'm running completely catless! lol
