Since there’s been a lot of discussion about C63 owners saying C43 might not be considered a real AMG for whatever reason. While not the same but I wanted to know if Facelift C63 owners were cool with Prefacelift C63s getting the Panamericana grill. Do you think PFL are posers? Or perhaps PFL C63 should not try to look like an updated model? Or you don’t even care since it’s still a C63?

Shouldn't matter to them at all. They're still the same car really, same power bar a few updates with transmission etc.
It's great that PFL cars have the expensive option to update their exterior to match the updated model's looks.

Not bashing the newer models as I would drive one any day but something interesting to mention as well is facelift cars make lesser power on the dyno and they also use fake "piped" in exhaust sounds
@Jimmy_c63s has got dyno graphs saved from somewhere...... my point being is that PFL cars are in no way less of an AMG in regards to performance.

Please, not another one of these threads - the C43 vs C63 is already bad enough and at times real embarrassing. What's next...is a valved aftermarket exhaust a fake PE...come on.

interesting I did not know this. Perhaps the extra gears. I thought c63 does not have fake piped in sound 🤔

Come one now. New model makes less power? you do know that you cannot compares Dynos from two different dynos. Even if it was the same dyno, you cannot compares unless it was done on the same day back to back. Also, these dyno operators can do so much to change the reading.

Bottom line is that it’s useless unless you’re using it for baseline before you make changes to your engine.

C63 does not have fake piped in sounds. There’s so much misinformation on his post that it’s not even funny. Next he’ll claim that 9 speed shifts slower than 7 speed.

Regarding your original question, do as you please. It’s cool as long as you don’t use fake badges.

That’s what I thought. I never heard of any C63 piping in any sounds. I know the 9 speed gets to 60mph faster than the 7 speed.

Did you read the link? AMG confirmed it themselves here. The FL C63 has fake piped in sound. Part no. A2059005330.

Correct

And yes 9 transmission maybe not slower but faultier

And just to be clear I got the facelift and went back to pre in 3 months but including aero package for sure, the best part of the facelift 😬

Didn’t see that. if it’s there then they did a good job because I cannot tell. I could tell right away in all of my previous M cars. I have the ASR module now and the exhaust button doesn’t bring any additional interior noises.

The 9 speed has lots of issues, there have been tons of W213 E63s with blown trans and trans replacements under warranty on the early cars. I am in the market for a W213 E63 and that's a big issue for me, might have to go F90 M5.

I’ve previously owned an F90 M5. Great car but make sure to go with competition package. I bought mine when it first launched and comp package wasn’t available.

Yep, all it does is pipe in a bit more induction sound via the speakers which gives the FL slightly different tone inside the cabin but that's it.

Still a cracker of a car and I would love to own one.

You got a looong list of nice cars in your signature. Which one did you like the most?

To the OP, here is my version of "facelift" ;-)
