C63S Ticking Noise
Is yours under warranty? If not, argue for goodwill and get it sorted asap.
I've been following a thread on the German forums about this (over here).

Bear in mind that most of these fellas went through Mercedes dealers so an indi would be cheaper.
Better still, ask for goodwill at Mercedes. Escalate it and make them pay for at least half.

In your video all I could hear was the normal injector sound but the video was a bit short and close to the engine.

I know c63 w205 fuel pump is a common problem.
This morning with a cold start I can still hear that sound.
I'm going to test it again at the end of the day, if I hear it again I want an explanation from the dealer.
velosdesignwerks How did the dealer find out it was the timing chain guides?

The fact that your dealership "found" or said they found a problem, is sorta suspect to me, as I didn't hear a clip of what sound you were referring too, but since you posted in this thread, I have to go with the sounds that most reported here and those by far were NORMAL noises our cars make. ( if you have a Chirp and or Cricket sound, then its possibly something more serious)
A Fuel pump noise (which are cars do make, and they make noises when they PRIME up for start, and so forth) can fail. and do fail just like any other part , more so if there was bad fuel or crap that blocked the hoses, and or added more resistance to the fluid flow that caused the pump to wear and tear more then normal.
If you want to go hunting for a problem, you are most likely to cause more then you bargained for......
What exactly is it that you are going to TEST ?? none of your post below make any claim to an issue, other then a SOUND, that was NOT as loud as others, and it went away after 6 minutes ??
In my opinion, dealership prob said / replaced fuel pump to get you out the door.. ( and since I dont know you, I cant make any statement to the adverse )
Just saying... IMO

Hence why I asked, what type of TESTING he says he does, or what ever.. Our cars make all sort of noises, if you want to hear some crap to freak you out do this:
1) park your car
2) turn off car, remove key and just SIT
3) site nice and quiet for 2-3 minutes
During which time you will hear your car basically doing all sorts of crap ... all 100% normal.. same crap happens when you start up your car.. ( more so on an AMG)
Another reason, you just dont START and DRIVE, these cars need to warm up, cycle thru its checklist and get stuff ready to go

How long have you noticed this sound happening in your car for?
I read another thread where someone had this issue and brought it to Mercedes and on their receipt invoice it says "We are aware about number of AMG vehicles with this sound. We assume, it is going from valve gear (chains?) Customer need to know, that this annoying noise doesn't harm engine, nor performance of the car. As the car is fully usable, your service stuff can reassemble car and it can be given to customer. At this time we have no solutions for it, but we will inform you as soon as we find it."

The timing chain guides sound, as you described is that distinctive, hollow, cricket sound of tek tek tek tek on cold start. That's the bad one.
Just to be clear so far on M177 noises:
⛔ Timing chain guides: Cricket sound tek tek tek tek that disappears after about 5 minutes after cold start (Bad, Urgent & Expensive)
✅ Injector sounds: Tick tick tick tick sound especially louder on right side of engine when standing in front of the hood (No issue & Normal)
✅ Belt and pulley: Squeaks which usually disappear after car is warned up (Fine & Not urgent)
