Rataling Noice

There is a rateling noice under the car when i give it a little gas. I think its the catilac converter but my car only has 60,000 miles. could it go bad this quick? i got a quote for $400 per converter is this a reasonable deal for a converter. that includes work also.

I don't know what noise you got but I got a creaking noise when I gave my SL500 a little gas a while back. It turned out the metal shield around the exhaust pipe was bending. I bent it back. You might want to physically check out for the obvious.

It was right about underneath of the driver seat but it could be anywhere in yours so check them all. When I push the gas, the contact point would vibrate causing the noise. I thought it was the end of the world because it start happening after a huge bump on the road.

Hope nothing too serious with yours. Good luck

Mine was doing the same and it turned out to be a missing engine mount bolt.

8 years or 80K miles (it could be 8 years or 96K miles in some models). More likely that Bo car is older than 8 years old as he never stated it.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
If it is

the secondary cats they can be deleted for well under 2 bills.
Universal cats both sides would be under $300 both sides.
Depends where you live higher price in California since they need to be CARB approved.
