If you're looking for filament bulbs, here's a thread with a bunch of different options: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...want-know.html

If you're looking for LEDs, here's some from another forum member (AZN Optics): https://mbworld.org/forums/group-pur...free-leds.html

I tried some from eBay that were a lot bluer than the HIDs. I took them out because they didn't match and looked odd. The ones in the link above are available in 5000K, which should be a much closer match to stock HIDs than most LEDs I've seen (which are usually between 6000K and 8500K).

Both the parking lights (inner bulb inside the high beam housing) and the corner sidemarkers are W5W bulbs. For LEDs, you might have better luck searching for 194 or 168 (same size bulb but different wattage, which doesn't matter with LEDs).

But only if you have the newer headlights, the old ones have the metal socket (BA9s), while the new ones have W5W (ok, these are LED Pictures, but just to get an idea).

Have a nice day

I got my AZN Optics LEDs in a couple of days ago. They're slightly bluer than my HID bulbs (Philips 85122CX, ~5400K), but they're a much closer match than the other LEDs I've tried.

I think our housing may be partly to blame. The filament bulbs look a lot browner in the housing than they do outside of it, and the LEDs look bluer in the housing than they do outside of it.

I also got the license plate LEDs (36mm festoon). They're nice and bright, and have a pure white color. They look like the stock LED license plate lights on some of the newer cars, unlike most of the bluer LEDs out there.

The picture quality is horrible, but it shows the difference in color pretty well.

Could you quote the bulb number please?

Are the license bulbs 6418 36mm festoon? What number is for the city light? Thanks

Yes, the license plate lights are 6418 36mm festoon. The city lights on an 03+ are W5W wedge, on 00-02 they're 64132/H6W.

Thanks. Mine is 05'. I'll see if they start selling HID for the fogs again. Can I assume that you got the 5000K and not the 8000K? Thanks again

I also ordered from AZN optics.

The first set license bulbs gave me errors. He claimed he sent the second set but never came. The third set worked fine. By the time I got the third set, I lost the first set and ended up paying for 2 pairs.

First set of city lights only one worked. He sent one replacement and it worked.

So after a month, I finally had the license and city lights working (ended up paying for 3 pairs lol)

I also ordered clear markers and 9006 xenon kits for fog lights off eBay. I just installed the 9006 fog kits and they worked beautifully (5000K bulbs).

How do you get the bulb socket out of the headlight assembly? Mine seems to be stuck almost like its fused together. Anyone else have this problem and how did you get them out?
