Rear View Mirror Memory Setting Problem

My passenger side rear view mirror is constantly losing it's memory settings. Some days it's fine while others it adjusts on it's own to a new position and has to be re-programmed. Is this an issue with the mirror motor or some other component?

Are you the only one driving the car? Do you use both keys at different times?

If still under warranty I would call dealer. I believe you can also try a software reset. Anyone has any other suggestions?

It's definitely not under warranty. Software reset?

My 216 can do this, I have to go back to D and then back to R to get it to dip, not easy to know where the fault is.

It's not that it's not turning down/in. It will do that most of the time. The issue is that some times when I push up OR in it will slowly go up AND in and the opposite is also true. I just want to know if its the motor causing this or something else before I start spending money.
