front and back strut bars

Wichers sport in Germany makes them for the w208. They used to have pics on their site but I can't seem to find them anymore. To mount the rear one you have to cut/modify your trunk lining as the strut mounts are behind it.

Whatsup Josh, long time no see man, You still have the CLK? I'm actually looking to make my own and i'm just looking to see where they bolt down too. I f i recall correctly there is only the center bolt that ties the struts to the body in the front and back so i'm not sure where i can mount the strut bars since there are no bolts or anything else.

2000 CLK 3.2
I was thinking of getting the same for my car for the front and back because I feel that the car is twisting more when I go up driveways now that the car is getting old.
Where can I buy some that are just plug and play?

i got mine from Wichers too, tell u honestly i didn't find any increase in handling what so ever, it just feels a tad bit firmer from the front. and its a pain in the you know what... to do servicing, u can not remove the air box unless u remove it, and it also needs careful installation because it relocates the gas pedal wire next to the brake servo up front, it needs careful calibration or some times the gas pedal gets stuck. my 0.02

thank you guys veru much. I'm working on a set as we speak that doesn't require moving the gas pedal servo and it can be detached in the middle in order to do the srvice basically a 3 piece for both front and back. It should be done in about a week or so along with the rest of the car. I will post pics once i'm done.

I would be interested in these once your done if they do provide some stiffening!

I'm using existing sway bars from another car and modifying/customizing it to work with the clk w208. Once I have made mine then I'll see if it's time and cost effective to make more or not. I will keep everyone updated.

I finally finished the rear strut tie bar. I made a bar that ties the rear two struts together and also one that mounts on the body, but i got a much better result with the bar that ties the rear struts together. it uses the top strut bolt to get installed so no drilling or modifying required except a little cut in the side trunk carpet lining. I have only made 4 of them as that was the minimum order i could put in. Will707 one is yours and it will be on its way within the next two weeks along with the other goddies. I'm not planning on making anymore unless if there are atleast 4 orders since that is the minimum. To be hounest i love the stiffness of the rear with this bar makes the car way more responsive and in control specially on the on ramps and stuff. if anyone is intrested pm me. by the way the price for them is $200. and the tightness s adjustable via adjustable tie mounts.

How does the rear strut effect the cars handling?
I thought a front strut would be better and give a tighter handling package.
If it fits a cab I'd be interested. If you can make a front I'd take that too!
Pm me with pricing and shipping! .
