OEM RIM QUESTION

So, the chrome on my 2001 clk320 rims are peeling bad. One of the rims is losing 10psi a day - so I ordered a replacement OEM. It's not mirrored like the ones on my vehicle and I can't find 7 spoke w208 rims that have a mirrored finish only with the silver look. Am I missing something? Are my wheels not chrome or do I have some sort of different rims on my car that are factory oem same size but chrome.. I don't know.. any point in the right direction would be appreciated.. thanks.

I'll take some tomorrow, it's starting to get dark in Boston.. I just don't understand why they're mirrored if they're OEM.. I can't find these rims in chrome, and it's hard to believe the old man I bought the car from years ago had them chromed.. I just don't get it haha

My guess your factory rims were chrome dip once before not factory but after market chrome dip !! check on the back of the rims to see if they are oem if you don't see benz logo it not oem !!

No, there factory just a rare option. My father has a 2001 clk430 cabriolet and it has the chrome wheels on it. It was recently wrecked and the dealer had a hell of a time getting them. They ended up costing about 1080.00 a wheel. I would imagine you could buy a painted set and have them re-chromed cheaper.

UGHHHH I hoped this wasn't the case.. 1080.. that's CRAZY expensive.. I'm prolly better better off just getting lightly used OEMs in the silver that I just received.. I'm assuming it'd be the cheapest alternative.. $140 was I spent on the rim and I think the average price around this area to dip a rim is close to $400.. blah
