radio buttons sticking together; is it safe to spray WD40?
My 4 and 7 buttons stick together a lot of the time

I tried to get it taken care of under warranty but my SA says that it was caused by liquid damage (someone must've used that dash mounted cupholder before I bought it!) Think it's safe to spray some WD40 in there?

I would try some electrical contact cleaner first. The electrical stuff will dry after a few seconds where the wd-40 will stay wet, not a good thing with electronics!
With my motorcycle, my horn button was sticking, a couple of hits with the electrical contact cleaner did the trick.

Nooooooooooooooooo... DO NOT SPRAY WD40!! It will ruin the finish on the face plate. Been there done that and learned the hard way. Not sure about the insides..Whatever you end up spraying in there make sure the radio has no power and leave it like that for a few hours for the substance to dry.

I heard about cleaning MAFs, but was told that it wouldn't give me many more miles. I bought a MAF on eBay that only lasted 6 months so I ended up buying a new one, all this for my old 202. I've been lucky not to need one since. I assume you had a CEL code B4 cleaning; how long since?

i had this same problem when I spilled juice on my radio. what I did was just took a damp cloth and periodically kept wiping the buttons. eventually the water would slightly seep between the buttons and dilute it enough that the stickiness eventually went away.
