Not a great lens;

Personally, before I got into the L series lenses I found that Sigma made some nice products. My 10-20mm EX produced some of my best shots that I have featured in my house.

I'll check and see if I find any Sigma lenses here.
Thinking of visiting London again this spring, and this time with a better camera
And hopefully visit Dubai in the fall/winter.

I convinced my sister to get a EOS 1100D before she visits London in May(booked tickets today).
I'll tell her to avoid the Tamron lens and look for either Sigma or something equal.

Thanks pal!

You can often find the Canon cameras packaged up in a deal with a 18-70 and 70-200 lens.

I'm kicking myself in the *** right now for not bringing my DSLR on this trip, I'm in Cairo and there is blue sky, that doesn't happen much here, hopefully it'll still be blue when I get back in 10 days. I've got some great pictures of the pyramids with blue skies back in 2009 with my 400D but I need some with the 5D MKII now for some huge living room prints.
The 50 1.2 is one of the best lenses out there. I was debating the 35, 50 and 24-70. I find the 50mm focal length is really not for me since I like to be versatile. I may end up getting the 24-70 eventually!

The MKII is a wonderful camera, probably the best one out there right now! I would love to upgrade but for what I do, I don't really need it.

Sigma makes great lenses though I find their quality control is questionable. A lot of people get lenses that aren't as sharp as they could be.

I used the 10-20mm for a little while and it was excellent. I ended up going full frame and getting the 17-40 though.

I'm going to abuse this thread with a crap ton of photos when Spring comes around

I have read through all 14 pages and haven't really gotten the answer on a 275-30-19 fitting a 9.5 et35 lowered with H&R springs.

Eurotrash runs 275 with spacers saying they rubbed the plastic shock protector. The 265's have had no issues.

I can't see where a tire 10mm wider would be an issue. Am I thinking wrong here?

Not sure if this will help but when I had my SLK, I couldn't run 255s since it rubbed against the plastic shock protector. I changed to 245s and I had no issues.

The previous owner of my 500 had 275's on the rear, they rubbed the inner fender moulding and plastic shock housing as disco mentioned.

ANYONE know if I would be OK mounting the following wheels on a 2004 CLK320 Convertible (W211):

C300 Factory 17" Wheels Tires OEM Rims 65522 W204
Size Front: 17x7.5 +47mm
Size Rear: 17x8.5 +58mm

I intend to install stock tires 225/45/17 245/40/17...

Thanks in advance!

Those will not fit. Offsets are way off. If you read through the threads in this sticky you'll see what are good safe offsets to run on the CLK. (W209)

I got all excited about these SLR-style wheels at PowerWheels Pro...

***Official Wheel/tire/stance Fitment Thread***-img_3006.jpg

....but the 18's are not available staggered :-(
What do you think about un-staggered 18's on a CLK?

You'll do no harm in running matching width rims, lots of cars come with the option of staggered or single widths. A wider tire in the rear is there for one thing - added traction, no dont need it with your 350 unless you're drag racing with all season tires and a healthy shot of N2O...

If you like the wheels, the ET's are correct (30-35) and the price is right, go for it.

My buddy has these SLR style rims on his SLK. Great quality except they're all curbed now lol.

The SLK comes staggered from the factory and he's had no problems running the same width all around.

I say get them, they'll look awesome on a CLK

the good news: Luke from Tirerack concurs that unstaggered in fine.
the bad news: Vasilli from PowerWheels Pro says they're out of stock.
I said I'll wait; don't know how long. I'd hate to think I'm just gonna curb the $hiz outta them though, disco!
