If you feel the ride height is fair, then listen to KEV...100% agree
i live in Lebanon too & the pot holes are becoming like the Grand Canyon by themselves!
LoL with a lowered ride i don't think u might survive the images below!!

Normal Visible Pot hole (This is in Lebanon LOL)

Wait that's my hometown Sour !!
btw, I agree with Kev and Boull... it would be awesome to lower your car but not in lebanon... I wanted to lower mine but with me driving from and to beirut everyweek... my suspension wouldn't survive the potholes !!
And now I really wish we had a clk meet before I came here

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Loving all the stats & photo's of all the combo's for wheels & supension set-ups.
My CLK500 Avantgarde 2003 is standard at the moment with:-
Front - 225/45/17 on Adharaz 7.5J ET36 (I think)
Rear - 245/40/17 on Adharaz 8.5J ET30
I'm now getting very close to making a swap to bigger rims, nothing too extreme 18's or maybe 19's,
I like the look of the Adharaz & fancy something similar from the AMG range.
I will probably leave the suspension alone for now but will be looking at a subtle drop next year, are ther DIY threads that cover spring changes ?
Cheers to everyone that has added to this thread as it has made it easier to identify the size ranges available.
wanted to jump in front from oe 245/40/18 to 255/40/18
and in rear from oe 265/35/18 to 285/35/18
are there any issues with abs or traction control by going to non oe size tires?
by all appearances they look like they fit and are not much larger than stock, in rear only 3/4" wider and 1/2" taller,
any comments.
considering the new michelin pilot super sports, friend has on a 997, they are highly rated.
any thoughts anyone?
thanks,
