I'll tell you what I would find helpful in this thread: what other MB models OEM wheels will fit on our W209s? Like, I assume all W203 wheels will fit, but few are staggered. What about W204? R171? I ask because I think I'm far more likely to want t buy OEM wheels from an MB owner who went aftermarket than to buy aftermarket myself....just my $0.02

W204 won't fit because of the different bolt sizes.

R171 wheels will fit. R171 is basically a shortened and widened W203.

All my R171 wheels fit on a W203 and W209

That sure is a Lebanese Plate!!!

If you feel the ride height is fair, then listen to KEV...100% agree
i live in Lebanon too & the pot holes are becoming like the Grand Canyon by themselves!

LoL with a lowered ride i don't think u might survive the images below!!

Normal Visible Pot hole (This is in Lebanon LOL)

btw, I agree with Kev and Boull... it would be awesome to lower your car but not in lebanon... I wanted to lower mine but with me driving from and to beirut everyweek... my suspension wouldn't survive the potholes !!

And now I really wish we had a clk meet before I came here

CLK500 (Gone) SL500 (R230)
Hi All. Newbie to this forum.
Loving all the stats & photo's of all the combo's for wheels & supension set-ups.
My CLK500 Avantgarde 2003 is standard at the moment with:-
Front - 225/45/17 on Adharaz 7.5J ET36 (I think)
Rear - 245/40/17 on Adharaz 8.5J ET30

I'm now getting very close to making a swap to bigger rims, nothing too extreme 18's or maybe 19's,
I like the look of the Adharaz & fancy something similar from the AMG range.
I will probably leave the suspension alone for now but will be looking at a subtle drop next year, are ther DIY threads that cover spring changes ?
Cheers to everyone that has added to this thread as it has made it easier to identify the size ranges available.

2005 e55 wagon blk/blk loaded
TIRE SIZE ON E55 WAGON 2005

have an '05 wagon, keeping stock rims for now.

wanted to jump in front from oe 245/40/18 to 255/40/18

and in rear from oe 265/35/18 to 285/35/18

are there any issues with abs or traction control by going to non oe size tires?

by all appearances they look like they fit and are not much larger than stock, in rear only 3/4" wider and 1/2" taller,

any comments.

considering the new michelin pilot super sports, friend has on a 997, they are highly rated.

any thoughts anyone?

thanks,
r

You should check with the guys in the E class forums because I can tell you there is no way you'll get a 285 on a 209 without rubbing.

Being that it's in the 209 forum you'd think that would been enough...

Im sure you could get the wheel on there at a ET 30 or so but it's not nessasary at all considering that a 235 is the widest tire you want to run without rubbing issues while keeping a desirable offset.
