I plan to continue to troll the forum classifieds and Craigslist till spring, but if I don't find some nice OEM wheels, I'm thinking I'll get some repros. I can't barely tell the difference between these 3 sets of 17" AMG repros, but I think I prefer the first, least-expensive ones:

$416

$424

$452

I've dealt with Ray from Sonic Tuning before. Bought the 19" ST160s that are no longer available.

Great guy to deal with.

2004.

Sorry should've mentioned, the ST160s were on my SLK350 sport

I think the SLK350 sport brakes are the same size as the 2004 AMG ones.

Great pic Disco, I much prefer that front end on that generation of SLK, the face lifter one looked like it was trying way too hard to update the look of the car.

Thanks guys. I miss the SLK every now and then...

I need to start taking pics of the CLK. Just picked up a new lens for my camera and I'm dying to try it out... Weather has been up and down lately.

I'm shooting with a Canon 5D MKI.

I just picked up a Canon 35mm f1.4 L, so excited to try this baby out. It was either this lens or a Beltronics STi Driver + rims lol.

You have excellent taste my fellow Canadian! I have the 5D MKII, a few good L series lenses as well, my favorite being the 24-70 I'm waiting on my new 100-400 L as we speak

Thanks! I also have a 17-40 L which I use purely for my real estate business.

I'm looking to build up to the "Canon Holy Trinity" which is the 35 L, 50 1.2 L, 135 L.

Expensive stuff right there lol.

I was debating whether or not to buy the 24-70 or the 35 L. Once I saw the images that the 35 creates, it just won me over. I may end up getting the 24-70 eventually though. It's an excellent walk-around low light lens.

I've got the 50 prime, absolute razor sharp pics from it, I was also looking at the 35 when I was in Hong Kong last, it's next on my list. And yes, the 24-70 is an absolute killer walk-a-bout companion.

I'm kicking myself in the *** right now for not bringing my DSLR on this trip, I'm in Cairo and there is blue sky, that doesn't happen much here, hopefully it'll still be blue when I get back in 10 days. I've got some great pictures of the pyramids with blue skies back in 2009 with my 400D but I need some with the 5D MKII now for some huge living room prints.

Would you guys recommend a Canon EOS 1100D? I don't know anything about ISO and all that stuff, but I've heard that the 1100D is a good allround camera?

It's a good camera Mikey, I had a 400D which was (a few years ago now) the predecessor for the now 1100. Since the 1100 uses a ASC sized sensor, 12mp is right in the sweet spot - it makes for good pictures and controlled grain in high ISO shots.

I learned a lot about photography with my 400D and got a lot of stunning pictures with it - a good eye will always trump equipment! After I felt I had gained all I could have of of my 400D I stepped up to the 5D MKII which I used when we were in London. Some of the pictures from the MB museum and around London are spectacular!

A word of advise - don't cheap out on lenses! I always bought good ones, mostly L series and now use them on my 5D MKII. I had some cheap lenses before and will never compromise on them again.

Thanks for the great info Kev!
Yeah you had some great lenses with you on the trip.

There's a deal for a EOS1100D with a Tamron 18-200mm lens.
But I don't know if it's any good lens though?
