THE blower thread

im just waiting for my birthday to come to hint people to buy it for me :P
Do NOT go to a 3rd party for a klee install based on my sad story. (all IMHO). $1K shipping is a small price to pay for pc of mind and having the work performed by THE experts on all things kleemann.
I found out there are alot of imposters in this business.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The car felt good in the triple digit heat, BUT..... now in 65 deg F with 50-60% hum... holy cow!
You can modulate tire spin in 1st and 2nd gear just with a slight twitch of the go pedal all through the revs. It's quite fun.

Thanks again and looking forward to more updates!

I think the loud exhaust attracts the wrong attn.... because I used to drive my old blown fox mustang like gas/tires where free and never had any issues.
Hoping to hit the track later this fall with some drag radials.
I'm thinking of getting one of the plx blue-tooth OBDII data-loggers which talks to my iphone.
I'm curious if the OBDII data will read positive boost from the OBDII MAP sensor? Or do I have to data-log the boost from a sep boost ref module?
thx.
Klee welded in a bung for a wide-band O2 sensor. And so it begins.
Are these a good choice? I dont' want to modify my fender/lips at this time.

DashDaq get's here Friday so I can data-log IAT's, and other stuff. Hoping to be able to log boost through the stock OBDII visavis the MAP sensor.
There's a few hitting the track this weekend..... I won't run unless I get my DR's in time. Street tires are a waste of time with this car and my driving.
Ambient: 93deg F
IAT idle in traffic: 110 - 122
IAT quickly get's down to 109-110 while cruising. I'm guessing this is pretty decent 16-17 deg F over ambient? Can anyone comment?
AMP (abs man pressure): never goes above 14.7.... so I suspect my stock MAP sensor only read 0 to -XX psi of manifold pressure? I guess I'll have to install an aftermarket boost sensor to data-log boost?
Timing - was all over the place.
I've got a spare bung for a wideband O2 sensor.
Cool Temps: Ran 202 - 208 deg F. That is with the PTE 180 therm...... in 93 deg F weather.

Now that you've had yours for a few days, happy with it?
Totally plug and play.
Today:
77deg F Ambient
coolant up to 200 in traffic.... hit highway, and temps slowly drop to 182deg F showing the 180 therm is working. It appears the fan temps are set @ 200-210 which is why the ect is running 200-210 in traffic.
IAT's with 77 deg out running 90-99 so about 13-20 deg over ambient seems pretty good to me.
Car is MUCH stronger with 77 deg ambient VS 93 deg ambient. I'm guessing timing is put back in under 93 deg ambient because this thing is beastly in the 70's.
My not so scientific results.
I really need to data-log boost and wideband O2 next. researching best options, to avoid having wires running everywhere.
In any case, I'm hoping there is some help out there. In searching for similar, I came across a post for W210's where someone offered up a defective Blower Motor Resistor/Regulator:
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...g-battery.html
It looks like the similar W208 part is:
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...stor/Regulator
Does that look right? How does one get in to swap it out?
I'm very handy with cars and my W208 is an absolute beauty and pleasure to drive, but I'm hoping this is an easy fix because I'm at my last straw with this car. I've owned it for less than a year and it's been a money pit and lemon since the day I took the keys, despite my love for it.
45Deg F Weather
Linear pull in all gears, time to hit the track.
Projects on deck:
1. IPOD interface install.
2. Custom Wideband O2 sensor with LED read-out install. Going to put the LED AFR digital readout at the very back of the cellphone pocket below the stock radio head unit.
3. Hardwire V1 detector with multicolored readout display with AFR dig readout in cell phone pocket. Going to use smoked lexan over the AFR and V1 display, so you see nothing until they are hot.
4. Drag-radial install on stock 17" wheels. Tires are sitting on the bench, just need to get to the tire shop.
5. PVC breather hose oil-catch can install. Going to install oil catch can sep between outlet on valve cover going to MAS....... verify I'm getting no blow-by or If I am, catch that oil so as to not lower octane.
Will be hitting the track with a good friend who has a new SS/RS camaro 6spd...... should be interesting to see a shoot-out between my snitchzel and his general!
More to come.
