Just ordered parts for dual ex.... spare tire well, heat sheild, etc..
Curious -
* Will the BS sway bolt-in like dynomites thead claims? PTE says no way... he tweaked his bs sway to match the offset of the stocker.
* It appears kevblah was able to run duals even with the stock sway.... just run the psg side a little lower...... doesn't look too bad.... in fact you could just put a slight U-shape to clear the stock sway bar on the psgr side......
* Is there another stock clk55 with duals..... non-bs that I could use that swaybar to clear duals... and be a true bolt-on?

After my research I plan to just duplicate the 05clk55 with duals..... as follows:
MBH LT headers
then back to single 3" across stock rear sway bar.....
then back to duals out the back through essenmen quad tips.
This is same as the factory quad-tip clk's (non-BS).

That's basically what I've done, dual off the headers, into a single 3" section past the axle then quads.

I don't know if the 209 has room for a front/side mount like the custom vortech, powerdyne, and HPS configuration. Pretty sure the 208 has room, I just recall the 209's and 203's being pinched up front for available space.

Reb - it is tight in there. I'd like to see someone bolt the whipple blower on our little clk.... there is now a kit for the 5.5-K cars.
Moe - I can't wait to get rid of the last bits of bbq painted bits on this car...
Dre - me too. I find if I space out the mods, it keeps my interest more.....

Voistener spoiler is waiting on the fedex place down the street....pick that up tonight. Prob want to have that installed AFTER new paint.

The quality of this part is great.
I did a quick test against the silver paint.... and the CF pops against silver.
Mods Plan:
1. Install LED Tails.
1a - Install DTM wheel w/e63 paddles ohhh la la.
2. Replace spare tire pan with center pan.
3. Install psg side muff insulation w/hardware.
5. Remove stock AMG muff/axle back.
6. Drive to muff shop to weld up/install eissenmann quads (catback).
7. Body shop - paint (stock color with black low front valence DTM style, and black roof/ install rear diffuser / install voist wing.

All Ground Shipping.
The spare tire well came in a huge Bedspring box..... was not sure what was in it... until I opened it to see a the wheel tub with a boat load of packing.
Still waiting on:
DTM steering wheel - 5 weeks to mfr.
Eissenman ex - shipping from germany

While we are in the subject of exhaust systems, I just finished revamping my exhaust and will do a writeup shortly. I installed some MBH LTH's and a custom dual exhaust system (T304 SS, 2.5" mandrel bent tubing, Random Tech Cats, Borla dual in/out with internal X, Moroso Spiral Tech muffler on each side before the tips).

* Sound - how is sound? And most imp... any drone? PTE had some drone issues with a sim setup, but I think he got it sorted out with placement of crossover.

I had the fabricator do the header install, so I can't advise on the difficulty of the install.
As far as sound, I there is a little drone; but the decible level is MUCH lower than what I was running before; which I wasn't expecting since the exhaust I have now is less restrictive. Start up sounds down right mean/raw and at WOT it's freak'n NASCAR time!

I'm in the process of getting a retune via Kleemann USA. Cory just needs a dyno graph of the A/F ratio and they will make a me a tune that will give me good, SAFE hp (plus disable the rear o2 sensors since they couldn't be installed due to the fact they don't reach).
