Yea the BS is a nice car. I'm thinking 997tt myself.
Hami car going to be quicker soon!

The new tails are going to make the biggest impact, it's amazing how fresher the car looks after adding them.
So far I'd just tried the Elec cleaner on the TB connector with fair results.
After a quick call to Klee USA, (thanks Brandon).... I was assured my lack of throttle was indeed the little female terminals inside the female TB connector plug.
Got home from work tonight @ 6PM..... and soldered/heat shrink all 6 wires/new terminals into the female plug and back to running by 8PM. Wahoo.
**if anyone needs to do this work hit me up for tips on how to remove the little terminals from the female plug. You slide the little sliders on each side out of the way, then depress the little tab on each terminal and pull it out. Keep track of which color wire goes to which number position 1 - 6.
Hopefully this is the last time I hit the go-pedal and get idle speeds.
........
Last part on the way is my VIS diffuser..... then she goes on jackstands and I start hacking out the old spare tire tub...... and sawzall the single exh/muff out for my quad Eisenmann EX.
More to come.

Ported TB will go on later. I'm spacing out any mods that could affect the tune.
Installed the LED tails tonight.
Started @ 6PM, done by 7:30PM.
You have to cut about 3/4" off each side on the inside section where the new tails fit in the body to clear the face-lift tail light housing. Don't cut too far or the rubber seal won't seal outside water properly!!!! The other thing to deal with is the safe mounting of the big-azz resistor boxes... there are 2 per side. I mounted them to the tail light mount studs with some extra materal I had lying around.
Now the good part:::::: ::::::::!!!!! Led's are sweeet! On or off they update the back of this car so nicely.
Waiting on some mail order 7507 stealth amber bulbs.

** Old spare tire pan out. Thanks PTE for the roto-tool tip. It is a MUST.
** Mounted Eissenman dual quads for 06 clk55 using clk63 dual ex rear muff hangers modified to fit.
** Was able to re-use drivers-side ex shield with some trimming/massaging/drill new holes on one side.
** Glued new center spare tire tub with 3m 5200..... 7 day cure time... so it will sit for a week until my vis diffusser come in.
** Trimmed the psg side muff tip clearance for muffler in bumper.... trimmed it smaller by 1/4" will make final trim when I fit the VIS diffuser.
** Installed LED tails.
Work left:
** Install VIS diffuser.
** drive to muff shop and have muffs welded in.
** paint shop for satin silver / install voistener wing.
** install new drivers seat bottom cover.
** install new DTM paddle shift steering wheel.
guess that it for now.
OH BTW - I fired up the car with no cat back.... just to see what she sounds like...... very tractor like. Not a solution

I'm on the hunt for the correct space-master / space-saver spare for this car.
If anyone has a p/n hit me up.
Ebay has GLK space-savers cheap... but I suspect that won't work. I see slk55 space savers avail as well.
Here's the SLK55.... I believe the SLK55 uses the space-saver.... is this the one I want?

I'm amazed to see how this w209 body style responds to bolt-ons..... in stock form it's already a nice business-man's german hotrod..... these little additions make it pop.
