THE blower thread

I'm on the hunt for the correct space-master / space-saver spare for this car.
If anyone has a p/n hit me up.
Ebay has GLK space-savers cheap... but I suspect that won't work. I see slk55 space savers avail as well.
Here's the SLK55.... I believe the SLK55 uses the space-saver.... is this the one I want?

There’re two p/ns of your Spare wheel saver,, depend of your Vin # & the version of your CLK55:
1) "203 610 02 75"
2) "209 610 05 75"
*The SLK55 space saver is different & smaller that the one you got......
ZAYED,,
I'll check to be sure those p/n's are for the space-saver version of spare which is much smaller than the stock spare tire.
The new center spare tire bucket requires the space-saver version.
**** Just finished cutting the stock AMG muff off the 3" catback pipe.
Mounted the 3" catback pipe sans muff to the cat pipe.
Drove around the block..... boy what a deep growl with no muff! Reminds me of my old pontiac big-block days with longtubes and little header muffs on the end. Very loud.
A word of caution for you Kleeman blower guys..... check your blower i/c lines where they run behind the psgr side headlight. Mine were chaffing pretty bad against the frame. I caught before the cut became more than superficial. Wrapped the cooling lines in some heavy duty reinforced silicone rubber tubing and zip tied. Just an FYI.
Waiting on my VIS diffuser for final chopping of the psg side bumper outlet, mount vis diffuser with epoxy, let cure..... then off to the muff shop to weld in the eis quads. I"ll prob buy some muff pipe socket connectors so I can take the ex off and adjust angles to my liking. Every time I've had duals welded in at the shop they always seem to get something misaligned..... which bugs me for the life of the car. Have a good labor day.

Found what looks to be a good local shop M-power to weld up my exhaust this saturday!
* Ordered new seat cover for my drives side lower seat and new seat cushion. Dealership: $900 for parts. Parts-dot-com.... $620. Hoping to install this myself.
* Ordered new emblems.... going back to stock "CLK55" on left side and "AMG" on right side.
Tried K*N's..... and killed my MAS meter, only run stock paper filters now since these MAS are sooo finicky to any oil.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Disco: I'll try pulling off the clk55-k 1st and see how that looks. There is alot going on, on the back there LOL. I actually miss having the clk55 and AMG on the right side..... I'll have
that put back on after paint.
Exhaust sounds WICKED. I originally ordered the Eissenman street version, but they sent me the race by mistake.... but I went with it, and I'm very pleased. I was targetting the sound of my wife's old 09 c63 stock sound. And this delivers. This is VERY close..... probably more deep and a little less barky than the c63. (if that makes any sense).
Cruising it's quiet..... just a faint rumble, WOT is glorious, part throttle is loud under load, down shifts under overpasses are fun... you can hear the what engine is doing now.
Next Steps:
* return CF diffuser, this one has a blem.
* install CF diffuser.
* install DTM steering wheel... when it get's here... supposed to be 5 wk delivery.
* install drivers seat lower cover/cushion.
* paint
* install voisener spoiler.
NJOY.

Sunday Update -
* Installed my new drivers side OEM MB AMG seat cover and new foam. Much better and all controls/air bladders/heat works as it should.
* I'm getting some weeping of the rear main.... not enough to leave a drop on the drive..... but enough to soak the lower pan and inspection rubbers pretty good. This was not happening 10K miles ago before I put the oil catch can in. I yanked the perrin catch can and went back to stock...... thinking perhaps the extra flow backpressure of the catch can and all the tubing was loading up the engine with pressure under boost..... and seeping rear main. We'll see how the next 5K miles goes.
* Installed new air filters..... new filters 10k miles ago were loaded with leaves, bugs, sand, crap....... car has found some more attitude with the new breathers.
* While under the car re-tightened up the kleemann collectors... they come loose over time...... and did a quick visual over everything. Only thing of note is the rear main weepage.
