Imagine some careless driver bumping into that precious, sculpted CF rear end, where previously the first point of contact would likely have been those plastic bumpers. . .
If you've ever driven in NYC, you'll see so many cars, even econo-boxes, with the ugliest rubber/foam contraptions strapped to rear bumper. Because horrible/aggressive drivers.

Thats easy enough to remedy, move.....I wouldn't think of driving anything beyond the value of a Hyundai around that ****-hole.

I've only been driving a Vette around NYC the past week, and can wholeheartedly agree with this. What a nightmare. Actually spotted a Hurican driving around SoHo yesterday and couldn't believe it. Who in their right mind would do that.
Hi everyone. Been gone for a bit. Went to the dealer and got the blah blah we'll check on your car. At this point I've kind of lost interest. If I get it or not really makes no difference at this point. In the meantime I sold my 2019 GT3 RS. I put 12k miles on it and wasn't really feeling it anymore. Did rather well on the sale because of the market right now. Also sold my 2019 580-2 after putting almost 18k miles on it. So yes I drive these cars. Here is a pic of my EVO awd being delivered last Sunday. It is an ad personam matte blue and it's a gorgeous color. Good thing I have experience with matte paint because of my green hell GTR I had. Not sure what the deal is with my dealer. They will be getting back to me next week and I'll post an update.
Roll cage, is it a bolt in and go? anyone know that? I'm going to start asking the AMG guys, but didn't want to bug them if it's a quick answer.
Burt, you may already know all of this but just in case, the bumpers are a US requirement. When you take them off which is a tedious job, they leave large holes where the attachment bolts went through the rear bumper. Some people plugged the holes but it doesn’t look good.
The roll cage and the bucket seats are all euro and MB won’t sell them in the US. There are a few aftermarket companies that have offerings but please be careful with your selection.

I just had an insurance company "roll" my face over with a quote to insure this thing
