Any better recommendations Than The Renntech EVM?

Found these instructions (in German) on the ASR website: https://asr-component.de/index.php?c..._attachment=30
Looks like installing in a GT is slightly different from the C and E, which are plug and play in the boot. Looks like it's showing you have to install in the driver footwell.
For my car it was literally:
1. Unplug factory cable
2. Plug in ASR module (which has the same-colored socket head) in the unplugged port
3. Done
Should be hopefully similar for the GT

There are two cables plugged in together where it points out the connector. You unplug those, it's the same lever style plug that's on the kitt, and then plug each end of the factory cable into the corresponding ends of the module cables. After that, secure them however you want (I used zip ties).
Then, find the grounding bolt to the right of the connector, and to the left of the speaker cover. Unscrew the bolt and secure the ground to it.
Next up is the 10A fuse, take it out, plug it into the modules fuse adapter, and plug that adapter into the slot that you pulled the 10A from.
Start it up, verify with the remote that it's working, and button her up.

So what's the verdict on how us here in the US can get it without overpaying? Maybe we can get Ronac to figure this one out and make one

Yeah, I just did this Friday. These are the instructions I pulled and translated from German. I also found a factory ground bolt right next the the speaker cover, kind of behind the carpet.

Installed this today...
Holy 💩!!! Wow is it loud when it’s on!!! So happy I was able to get this! It’s a huge difference even with sport plus... if you are on the ledge, get it. Install took exactly 5 min.

Yeah, I don't think I have the right one incoming. After finding out about the Renntech nonsense, I absolutely will not buy it from them. So I either have to find a chap who can get it and send it to the US, or go with the competitor product.

Has anyone tried this version from Active Sound? I think I would prefer to use the stock exhaust button rather than have a separate fob. Also it is much cheaper than Renntech. Is the only downside not having the valves open upon startup.

Shoot me a PM if you'd like to know the steps to do that.

I don't know anyone who has tried it yet, but that is the gist of it, but the valves being opened on startup is the main reason a lot of folks buy it. It really does make a major difference. The other benefit to the remote controlled version, from ASR, is that they force the valves to never close, meaning you can use that feature to also keep you safe from the dreaded stuck valve flap issue and the limp mode it induces. But I would not pay the Renntech prices personally. It's more work to get the module direct from ASR, but you'll save a few hundred bucks.
Shoot me a PM if you'd like to know the steps to do that.

Anyway, I sent you a PM. Thanks

For the same issue, I went with Cete's Active Valve Control. It opens the exhaust valves completely when you push the exhaust button on the car. No fob and no reduced sound at idle. The flaps are fully opened or closed. Cold starts now sound much better. https://www.active-sound.eu/en/merce...-valve-control
If you get it and want the installation guide, pm me.

Anyone ordered this thing in the last month or two?
I ordered some sneakers from Europe and they've been stuck in US customs for weeks. vendor is saying there's a huge backup due to Covid-19. Debating whether to wait or just pay Renntech.

Since the car defaults to comfort mode, I always switch it anyway. It is annoying that AMG doesn't remember the dynamic select setting I was in when I turned the car off. But since it doesn't, changing from C to I is exactly what I do on every start up (even before installing this module), so this isn't any more annoying than what I did before. In fact, starting that engine and opening the exhaust valves is always great.
