My friend used the TurboWax Swirl remover with great success on his black car. You need to use a buffer with the Swirl Remover

Mind if I take a try at it?

I run a 100% Mobile Paint Polishing and Detail business based out of Pasadena, I'd love to work on the car. You can view my site and take a look at my portfolio of vehicles I have done, and I'm sure with time I can make your beloved E Class swirl free.

Again, I will come to your location to work on the car, a test spot will be done to ensure the swirls can be removed, I'll do that free of charge.

Sometimes when you have a car detailed by a car wash or detailing facility, they will use products than will actually inflict swirls into the paint, the job is done much too fast. I like to take my time with each vehicle, which is why I would need 10+ hours with each car.

If you have any questions, please feel free to message me or just give me a call.

THANKS

-Brad

Welcome to owning a Black car. I have two of them and swirls marks are a way of life unless you want to put a lot of work in it to keep it swirl free. Black is a major PITA. It can be done, but it takes a lot of time, patience, and skill to keep that showroom shine.

On some level I think its nearly impossible to have no swirls marks on frequently driven vehicles. However you should be able to get a lot of them out and restore a deep shine to the paint. The quality of detail work will vary a lot depending on whose doing the work and what products they use. If you'd like I'd can explain to you how to do this yourself for about the same cost as one detail. Let me know if you'd like to learn more about doing this process yourself. Its a great skill to learn so you can fix any future problems yourself. I've helped many first time detailers and experienced detailers get fantastic results.

GTBrad brings up a good point....

Something we don't know from your experience is the process and products you used. Keep in mind, the "process" is 80% of the reason you may have not acheived a swirl free finish. The "product", and more so, "product knowledge" is something you acheive when you do it (or have done it) for a living like myself and others. Of course, exceptions apply to highly **** owners who put in the work to learn. It's not as simple as going to the local Wally World and picking up a general bottle of Meguiar's. While they make some good products, most are not available locally.

If you decide to not use Brad's services and really want to do it yourself, there are a handful of knowledgeable industry experts here to help.

You can also take advantage of the discount our forum sponsor (www.detailedimage.com) provides to us.

Best of luck to you!

Nick

TurboWax swirl remover will definantly work as long as you do it the correct way. I suggest that you read up on this thread on how to remove swirls using a buffer, and see if that is something you trust yourself to do. https://mbworld.org/forums/detailing-automotive-care/13563-how-buffing-out-swirl-marks-porter-cable-buffer-updated.html

Using a buffer is a delicate process. It can leave your car extremely nice, or it can mess it up. Its not hard to learn to use a buffer, you just have to becareful with it. I'd really suggest that you try and do it yourself, as swirls are easy to get on a black car, and its better for you if you can fix it yourself everytime instead of having to take it somewhere to get it fixed all the time.

MR_560SEC - Getting these swirls out by yourself is something I specialize in helping others do. I've helped numerous first time users get professional like results with a simple and easy to use buffer (Porter Cable 7424). The Porter Cable 7424 is an orbital buffer that is not like traditional rotary buffers that are dangerous. The horror stories about rotary buffers can be true because rotary buffers are difficult to use for beginners. Rotary buffers spin continuously in one direction and generate a tremendous amount of heat. The orbital Porter Cable 7424 moves in a random orbit which generates far less heat and is very clear coat safe. With the strongest polish and pad combinations people have not been able to burn through the clear coat while deliberately trying. Quality random orbital buffers, such as the Porter Cable 7424, can achieve up to 6,000 orbits per minute (OPM’s). The PC 7424 is strong enough to generate enough heat to break down polishes effectively, but not damage the paint. This heat is essential to work in polishes when buffing out swirls.

To remove swirls you want to apply an medium cutting polish like the Menzerna Intensive Polish. This will help eliminate the swirls permanently, not just hide them. After applying any medium cutting polish you should always follow up with a lighter polish to buff out any haze that may be left behind and restore surface gloss. I recommend using the Menzerna Final Polish II. After applying this product the surface should be very clean and clear. These two coats will significantly reduce the appearance of swirls not eliminate them entirely. I apply the Menzerna Intensive Polish with an orange cutting pad and the Final Polish II with a white polishing pad. These pads help each product work in to the clear coat appropriately for best results.

If you're interested in these products and this process, please let me know and I'll send you directions on how to use the Porter Cable 7424 and these specefic products for best results.
Here is a link to someone else I helped do a full detail (which i can help you do too). I'm also including a link to our Ask A Professional Detailer thread on this forum of work we've done with same products I'm outlining above. They used the SSR 2.5 and SSR 1.0 for their polishes, but I think you get slightly better results with the Menzerna line on Mercedes paint/clear coat. These dramatic results were obtained by a detailing rookie and many others have had similar experiences.

Let me know if these products interest you, so I can help you get rid of these swirl marks for good and you can love your car again. I look forward to hearing from you.

Aww bro, your not going to remove much by hand....and if you attempt to, you're going to need a hell of a lot more tools than you probably have (multiple applicators of varying texture, product, etc..)

Turbo Wax or not, you're not going to get swirl free without more friction and heat. Again "PROCESS" over "PRODUCT".

Good advice. You need to invest in a Porter Cable and some great pads: I like Lake Country. Menzerna products are some of the best I've used. For the paint on MBs, you'd want to use their new 106FF polish made for the cerami-clear finish. It works well on traditional clear as well. Then follow with Final Polish or Final Polish II. You can now polish by hand and wax. This should give you the results you're after. If this doesn't do it, you need to have a professional detailer use a high-speed polisher and remove the swirls. But keep in mind, eliminating the source of the swirls is the most important step. Once removed, if your wash, dry, and wiping technique is poor, you'll make swirls again. Hope this helps.

$600 for details and you are still not satisfied? Who did the work and what were their reasons for why the swirl marks could not be removed? Any experienced detailer should be able to get rid of 90% to 99.9% of the swirl marks using the proper polish, pad, and rotary or porter cable. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them for you.

Thank you
