Hi, my name is Luis of Portugal.
I have a S211 220cdi (150hp)with gt2256v, with reprogramming.
I have 191hp and 469Nm, but i have a problem, my auto transmission donīt accept more Nmīs (power).
At 2500rpm-3000rpm, it lose some power, and later ace 3000rpm continues with total force even 4500rpm.
Sorry my english it is difficult to understand

In program, there is torque limiter for every gear.
It limits the torque to 450nm level, gears 2->5.
Your tuner had to do some homework.
But it is not a very big problem anyway.
With orig. injectors it is so near to max amount.
~190hp is relative good result.
Bigger cooler might give little more, but is certainly good for your engine.
Rail pressure increasing till max revs gives also little more power.

Your tuner had to do some homework.
But it is not a very big problem anyway.

For instance, if he just rise them to 1000nm, and they donīt bother any more.
There is still a one more torque limiter left, which is needed.
Mercedes software is not easy.
If you have "right" kind of software, there are numerous of every kind of limiter limiters.
Bigger cooler does not increase turbo lag at all.
Donīt expect much more power any more with stock injectors.
Your level now is ok, good actually.
As I said, cooler and higher rail-pressure might give a more.
And if your tuner wantīs there are very good tools in program to control charger vanes.
With max pulse ration map he can force the vanes more open on max power area.
That gives more air-mass through the engine, which is good during the heat stress, ...and smoke if that matters.
That map is shortly after (smokemap) boostmap.

For sure. I'd much rather have that broad, flat power curve below it. A high peak power curve like that is just giving a high power number to impress people, its useless for anything else.
Thats whats known as a "dyno-queen" power curve. All show, no go.

With "hard" chip, that engine gives ~270kw, ++600nm.
And works still very reliable.
It is very close to charger limit.
Bigger injectors cannot give much more.
Exhaust pipe is enough big.
Bigger cooler is always a good purchase.
If there are not any tuner there, maybe then the only alternative is sent the ECU-box here, in Europe.
Your job is only drive and enjoy and make the front wheels suffer.

What is "hard" chip? Is it custom tune? If so does your tuner do custom tune if I send him the ECU?

Sorry, I am on the opposite side of this ball.
Remapping is not the problem.
Reading and writing the program from yours cars is.
Surely there must be chiptuners, who can do the job, and have the tools.
Any tuner can transmit diesel-chips from Europe and write it to you cars.
Practically all cdi-MB,s can be done via obd-port.
Reading the stock program from car takes something between 5-10min.
Remapping 15min-1hour, depends on the program.
Re-writing 2-5min.
Very often, the whole thing, under 30min.

I had my 06 E320CDI tuned by Powerchip in California.
Never had a chance for dyno to confirm horsepower but car drove well. Maybe someone else has had dyno?

my tuner reduse NMīs, but the car have now 168hp and 3XXNM, for a gt22 it is a good power
My tuner had to do some homework.
With this turbo gt2256v i waited 200/210hp and 430/440Nm.
He redused Nmīs and he redused HP too , why?
At 3800-4000rpm i dont have more power
The turbo, MFA, sensor temperature, and more sensor are ok, i made all test and it is ok.

Now he is probably using some kind of editing- program (...tuner-pro maybe), so his only chance is change the total amount of torque.
The only chance to make decent custom files, is to use WinOls.
That kind of turbo-swap program is actually quite easy to do...

My turner make very cars in Portugal, very BMWīs 335d with 350hp and 700Nm, M3 with 400hp, seat ibiza 1.9tdi(130hp) with 280hp and more...
But work in mercedes, he donīt have any mercedes with big power.
I think he is learn about mercedes, but if my ECU is a EDC16, manyīs BMWīs have EDC16 too, soo i'm confused.

I had a engine break down.
Connecting rod bearing, cyl 2, look above.
One screw was bad and donīt last.
I bought this as new, so the bad screw must be there all the time.
I heard the sound of it for a long time, but I didīt want to believe that it is even possible to have a any "building false" in MB engine.
Well, it costs new crankshaft and rod...
...And lots of work.
The other bearings were in very good shape.
So, still there is not too much torque. (~600nm)
Also clutch and flywheel were ok, no slipping.
I had a engine break down.
