Learn the Market?

I shop the market.
You post what you get for your rare car, when you sell it.
And last I checked the E55 is 250lb lighter,30 more h.p. at least 50 ft.lb. of torque up on the 94 ,so unless you caught one sleeping there is no way you are faster.
Learn the market
You will...........
reduced from $15900
1994 Mercedes Benz E500 Very Rare! - $12900 obo
care to keep track of what he sells his 1 of 500 us import model rare car for?

found another one owner in near perfect condition for $12,900obo
ohlord
And every time someone posts that they paid top dollar because they knew what they were buying I chalk that up to another guy who paid to much for his whistle and will soon be in for a rude awakening.Dealer did a good job on you.Still owe money on it?

Seeing as you don't have much of a handle on punctuation or sentence structure, I'll type this slowly: you are a d!ck.

Still owe money on your 735?

i have blue-printed, port and polished my engine and extrded the intake and headers.... full cat-back exghaust and intake. and then RENNTECH ecu on top of that

i have walked a 349.9 RWHP blown NSX. several times from a 30mph roll.

so, before you walk your mouth, walk your mousepad around the forum first.

the reson why i own so many "older" cars, is because i dont like making payments. i payed 26K for it with 70K-ish miles on her.

take a seat.

well what is it? if you are looking for an E500 that is a beater for 10K, than when you see that the price is 20K, why would you even bother knowing what makes it 20K? when you were looking for your 124, im sure you came across some that were way out of your price range. did you look at them? most likely not..... and i there was an ebay link.

Son?

I'm 57,been racing longer than you've been alive.
Port and polish ? make a 2ton luxo beat a 350rwhp 3100lb blown NSX, like I said he was sleeping or you were dreaming.Tell your dreams to tommygunn,or post the time slip.
Seat is taken, and my feet are well off the floor!
350 rwhp in an nsx is a sub 12.4 sec QM you post the slip with a sub 12.4 in your rare E500 and I will sit my mouth
I will venture a guess that a bone stock nsx with 5 second 0-60 will walk the E every day of the week.
back on subject tho,you tell us all how much you get for it come sale day.The guy who buys it will not give a can of beans for the mods,if that is what you are banking on to make up the 8grand.

For a 57 yr old you sure do seem to love playing the protagonist. Why do you hate this guy for wanting 10k less than what he paid for his car? And why do you argue with such intense certainty that the car could not do a 12.4s quarter mile or a 5 second 0-60.

A quick visit to wikipedia will tell you that a stock 500 will pull 0-60 in 5.5 and a 1/4 mile in 14.1.

Its not completely implausible that these times could be shaved down with just a few mods.

For someone who's almost using a senior discount card, you'd think you would have learned to get some facts before you argue on a forum.

Facts?

Anybody with a modicum of knowledge in drag racing will tell you a few simple mods is not going to take a two ton E500 from 14.1 down to sub 12.4.Unless it was a 150 pill of NOS,and a diet
Just injecting a dose of reality is not being a protagonist nor a hater, simply a matter of fact.
post the time slip, post the final sales price.
Already dropped 2 grand on ebay from above buy it now price,so lets see how low she goes.

first of all, you pulled 12.4 out of thin air two posts ago, which i've noticed you do a lot. how about you show me a mathematical power to weight ratio of how you got that number for the NSX, since you managed to figure it out to the tenth of a second

**Nods in aggreement with Zed**

After I posted that, I did another WIKI search for the NSX and saw their 1/4 mile times well into the 13's.

Another note worth adding, he said it was from a 30 mph roll. Who's to say which car's powerbands hit harder at what speeds? No time slip will even tell you that.

Do you really think he would make up something like that? And if he beat the driver on more than one occasion, you can bet he wasnt just "asleep".

i have no doubts that a modded NSX can get into the 11's, i just want to see where his '12.4' came from.

absolutely. I'm sure they can get even lower than that with the right wotkand enough weight reduction. And on top of that, id probly rather drive the NSX :-D

Bone stock

an NSX is in the low 13's high 12's,he states he took a blown NSX with 349plus rear wheel H.P. which calcs out to 400plus at the flywheel in a 3100 lb slip of a car.We had a 57 belair track car of similar weight and numbers and ran 12.4's all day long so if that old box could do it I would easily put the NSX into that range or better. From a roll or from the dig,a ported and polished, ecu modded, cat backed,1994 E500 is not going to smoke a 349rwhp nsx.Unless** the guy was asleep.
http://www.dragtimes.com/Acura-NSX-Timeslip-6671.html
as an example stock nsx 12.90's at 107 I'll let you do the math as to what at least 100 more h.p. at the flywheel would be capable of in a 3100 lb.supercharged NSX
From time slips and known H.P. 400 h.p. at the flywheel with proper tires suspension set up etc. is going to put you in that mid 12 bracket at about 125mph at the traps. To do that in a car that weighs 4000 lb.(E500) will require 514h.p. at the flywheel. That in any book is 200 h.p. more then the E500 and I am certain a little port and polish job did not take it anywhere near that level.
Spend more time racing and you too will find out that you certainly can tell from a time slip when a cars powerband hits, and I can assure you a supercharged NSX form a roll at 30mph is full on it's powerband.
**unless as noted above
