2 tickets??? In one night!!

So...needless to say, I'm an IDIOT!!!

I just got 2 tickets last night, all within 30 minutes of eachother.

I have a few questions for you speeders out there:

1) Do I have to go to court if I pay it before the court date?
2) Do I have to appear in court for going 21 over? (the yellow)
3) Is there anyway I can pay these and NOT have my dad find out?

Thanks lol

If you are not under your dad's insurance policy, if you get to the mailbox before he does and remove any info sent from the court, and pay off the fines/traffic school, then you should be in the clear. And it looks like one of the court dates is in December ...push it back even more!

lots of cars
First I suggest you remove the pictures with your DL number on or blank them out....and you will have to show to court and plea guilty. You will have the option of completing traffic school and pay the fines

I got pulled over last night in my 400E after I punched it from a dead stop leaving a traffic light. There was a little bit of tire squeal as the traction control fought to keep things civil and I kept it floored to about 70 in a 55 mph zone. I didn't see the county cop pulling out of the 7-11 I passed, and he flipped the lights behind me. I pulled over promptly, rolled down my window, and sat patiently with my DL and registration card in hand and my hands on the wheel. He asked if I knew why he pulled me over, I said 'yes sir, I do.' He asked why I took off like that, and I told him I was on my way home after a long day and was just hurrying. He then inquired about my driving record, which is clear. He went back to his car and returned a few minutes later and asked me if I was going to make a fool out of him if he let me go by continuing to drive like that. I said 'no sir,' to which he replied 'slow down and have a nice night.'

My demeanor was calm, respectful, and apologetic without gushing or seeming insincere. This was my first time being pulled over in my W124. That after two years of ownership and driving in a manner such that everyone I know is shocked I've not been ticketed in it. I was beginning to think it was invisible or something!

The only other time I even seemed to get an officer's attention was a few months ago on I-95. It was early on a Saturday morning and I was heading South at a steady 85 or so in a 65 zone. Caught up to a pack of 7 or 8 cars going about 70 and took a few miles to work my way through them, after which I opened her up and reached about 130 to put them behind me. After letting off and gradually slowing back to about 80, I saw this car come rolling up on me in the next lane with no headlights on and hang right off my 4:30, almost in a blind spot. I thought to myself, 'what's up with this guy? He must have saw my blast and want to race, well F him I don't feel like getting arrested this morning!' He hung back there and then gave a couple short horn toots. I looked over and it's a State Trooper in an unmarked Impala!! I thought I was gonna faint! He just shot me this dirty look and points at me. I wasn't sure what he was gonna do, like pull me over or what. Then all of the sudden this dumbass flies by us at about 95 in a minivan, and the cop goes after him and pops him!

So, to make a long story short and answer your question already:

1 traffic stop
1 scary encounter on the open road
0 citations!

I got a ticket when I rolled my 400E, too fast for conditions... apparently the you can't drive the speed limit when the roads are wet.

So, how many passengers is too many? I assume this would indicate that you had more bodies than seat belts. Most W124 sedans seat 5, so can we assume that you were driving with at least 6 people in the car(including yourself)? If that's the case, how can you possibly be surprised that you were cited? I think your attitude may be your biggest obstacle in these situations.

Did you show him your other ticket? Maybe he would of let you off the hook, if he was sympathetic.

Dont mess with jersey cops, they can be touchy. No tickets, a few scares though. Not been pulled over in my own car yet

because im black, i get a ticket every time.

never ever got a warning.
even got a ticket last week for supposedly going faster than the speed limit (i wasn't) in the rain. i was just driving at the same speed as regular traffic in the far right lane, and therefore i was kicking up a lot of spray. since nobody else was driving in that lane, i went straight up to the front of the lane at the lights. he even fabricated charges saying there was impaired visibility and driveways. there wasnt. im going to have to do some google map action when i go. i only wish i'd had a GPS unit in the car to verify that i was nowhere near the speed limit (yes, thats admittable!!!!!!)

the black tax. its everywhere.
when i go and contest the ticket (which i will!!!) i will invariably lose. justice. its nowhere when this black man need it.

ahaha yeah, if you're black, or young, you're definitely getting a ticket. my friend, heather, got pulled over in the exact same stop i did on the highway, and she told the cop she wasnt familiar with the area (like i did) and she was going 80 in the 45, and didnt get anything, but a warning...

cops just suck..

I drove old Volvos for twenty years and never got stopped once. Two years ago I bought a 300ce and got a ticket on the way home from picking it up. The burglar alarm went off after I locked the trunk and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. I got so flustered with the alarm going off for two hours that I was doing 84 in a 55. The cop didn't say a word about the alarm, which was blaring the whole time he wrote me the ticket. I guess he only handled speeding. Got to my town with the alarm still going off and got stopped again. This time they let me off because I wasn't speeding. Since then I've been stopped 3 more times, two warnings and a ticket. And the car isn't even red. Rob
