Hey everyone, I have the stock xenon headlights right now. I need to know what I can do to upgrade them.
I don't really now what's out there for it or where the best place to get it.
Any info is greatly appreciated...Thanks!

I put in 8000K bulbs in my factory hids. They cost 125 from Stealth Auto. They have a Blueish tint i like them. I havent noticed if they are any brighter.

You could upgrade to the Depo headlight, put in a pair of Audi RS6 bi-xenon projector, and run with the Philips 85122+ bulb. It'll make your existing headlight feel like halogen.

Hid
fog lights?you'll burn up the bucket, toast the harness, and god knows what else.
brighter lights are not what you need in a fog lamp, they are not for range they are for beam pattern in poor weather conditions.
Brighter headlights, polish the lens and install 65 watt osram H7 rally bulbs from danielsternlighting.
And if you want the best fog bulb he has the selective yellow fog bulb euro spec.
and while you are at it read his article about retro fit hid.

Polished lens won't do...neither will yellow fog bulbs.

On PIAA website I found some good bulbs for the fog lights.
I know need to know a good set of HID kits for the headlights, and a brightness most everyone uses. I think I may get the Depo housing that looks like the W211 style, will a HID conversion kit fit? What does everyone usually do, and what are my options.

I have heard that the beam pattern in the Depot headlight housing is only for halogen applications. Supposedly if you put a HID conversion kit directly into the Depot headlight your beam pattern will be off. There are some guys that purchase the Depot headlight and then retrofit projectors from another car into them to solve this problem. I would suggest searching this forum, and you will find a plethora of information and debate.

I purchased Depo projector headlights, then removed the inferior stock depo projector lenses and replaced them with projectors from a 2002 BMW X5. I also used the xenon bulbs, ballasts and wiring from an X5. The result is factory perfect beam pattern and cutoff. Some people have used xenon projectors and bulbs from the Audi RS6, but the X5 units are a lot easier to find on eBay. Hope this helps!

I'm sorry, i don't mean to steal your thread, but i was wondering... what year did they start making factory HID's? I have a 99' E320, and i was wondering if HID even existed and is a possibility? Sorry, still trying to get familiar with my car.
Thanks for your time.

factory HID existed as an option for 99. note, however, that they were of
reflector design and not the prevailing projector design now common with HIDs
attached are OEM headlights for 99

If you're wanting projector HID, you'll need to make one yourself as none are
offered from M-B. This is bixenon projector fitted into a Depo. Projector is
from an E55
