HOT deal on Magnecor wires!

I just ordered my new Magnecor spark plug wires 2 days ago (8.5mm Magnecor part #85240 for E55) for really cheap! I mean I researched the crap out of these and they're going for $251 bucks plus shipping everywhere including Magnecor's website. I found a site called Alamo Motorsports where I ordered them for $170.02 shipped. Here is the site's link to the wires: http://www.alamomotorsports.com/Magn..._mercedes.html

Why

did you need new wires? If not abused or set on fire they last for a long long time.

I went to pull one of the wires off to look at the plugs and I think I broke it, lol. Well, it's not that funny for my wallet but I'm changing my plugs so might as well change the wires too!

By the way guys, my wires just arrived drop-shipped directly from Magnecor so this deal is even better now!

They

will do that sometimes.Do you have the offset 17mm plug tool or a long 5/8 open end to pry gently with leverage against the head and gently pop off the metal boot off the plug? Also leave the wires on the coil end alone just remove the spark plug end.

Don't think, of course, that these wires are higher quality than Mercedes wires.

Well, from what I gather I think they are. They even look and feel better than OEM but I'm not a trained mechanic so what do I know, lol. I base my info. on research and the trial and testing of others and then I test things myself. So far everyone who has used these wires have positive things to say so let's see what happens...

Kent

has stock in mb or worked for them,so you need to weigh in his slant.
In this case he is probably correct though,so just hang onto your old wires (carefully taken off of course)and if the new ones misfire, act up,throw 0300 range codes, send em back and just pick up one wire from a benz wrecking yard to replace the oops one.

Mercedes now lists this tool as the offical tool to aid in the removal of the spark plug connectors on the newer M112 and M113, V-6 and V-8 engines. You pry against the connector and the valve cover with it. It makes a knuckle busting job quite easy.
plus you can use it in the tight space to make sure you pop the metal boot back onto the plug! FAR EASIER THEN THOSE CROOKED SHAPED PLIERS.
or like I said a long 5/8 in a pinch.

Cool, thanks for the tips ohlord. Yeah, I'm not shooting Kent or anyone down on the comparrison of the wires I've just been doing quite a bit of reading and find that these Magnecor wires are pretty good. Obviously there are some things made better than OEM and a lot that are not but the prices of OEM MB parts are outrages! Anyway, I'm going to order this tool for the swap out so I can save my OEM wires just in case...Thanks!

Yeah but this is only a couple of guys that have problems. Most everyone whom I've asked about their Magnecors love them and have had no issues, including my MB mechanic. I'm one for trying things out so I will put them in and if they give me probs, I'm going to take them back myself and throw them in the guys face, lol...Thanks for the info!
