Modification Time
Modification Time
Hello everyone!
I love these forums and all the information I have learned about.
I have had my W210 for quite some time and I have kept it pretty much stock.
Its time to modify.
Im looking to start small, NO DEEP POCKETS HERE
What are some good places to look for W210 accessories???
Im looking for an intake, but Ive constantly read that the W210 stock intake is the best.
Some subtle exterior mods...some stuff to make mine stand out.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
I freakin love these amazing cars
, I bet we can all agree on that!
We could maybe make this a one stop thread for people looking for some good modification websites.
Thanks in advance!

Leave the
engine alone,no snake oil sprintboosters,k/n filters, cold air boxes, chips etc.,leave the stock air box be with clean oe air filters from autohausaz.com at every proper oil change with proper 0w40 mobil 1 and proper oil filter.Service your transmission with mb spec fluid and filter. These are a must,if you don't have the money to keep it running don't mod it yet. When you do,
Then and only then start to mod it....
Tint ceramic so it keeps the radio sounding as good as it can stock.
Wheels 17's or 18's if you are willing to spend the money to properly modify the suspension.
Tires a tad wider.
sport shocks and springs when you are ready to dig deep.

Ceramic Tint doesn't have metal in the application as most tints do in order to reflect sunlight. The metal interferes with the reception as the radio Antennae is in the window, not an exterior whip.
OP. Are you looking for functional or cosmetic modifications?
I've done a couple cosmetic mods to my car in order to "fix" a couple things I didn't like in the car from day one. As functional parts wear out I am upgrading them in the replacement process in order to extend the life of the car for me.
I bought it new and intend to keep it for a least a couple more years.

was in jest.An inside joke ,about a former member since wrecked and moved on
Keep it simple keep it tasteful.
Wheels tires springs shocks can drop 1-2 grand easy from your wallet. So a nice tint, not to dark, a good clay and polish job to make it shine like a show car and save your money for a rainy day.

tommy can ya hear me
Oh Lord is correct, don't even think of mods until you have completely taken care of all service items including transmission fluid and filter, brake fluid flush and refill, coolant change. And if you lower the suspension, you also need to re-adjust the camber angle of the suspension and get a 4-wheel alignment to retain proper handling and tire wear. As for aftermarket wheels, try to stick to original AMG or Carlsson wheels that are period correct for your E.
