Just pick a set of 17" tires recommended for your car at a site like TireRack and you'll be fine. It's also a good idea to plug the size into a online tire size calculator to determine the circumference. Stay within 4% of stock (<1% is better) or you may have ESP/ASR issues.

Not sure the maximum that will work but 225/45R17 and 235/45R17 are fine. It you have 16" rims now be prepared for a harsher ride on 17's if that matters.

you also need to verify that hubcentric bore is 66.5 mm

for proper sizing on MB, you need the following specs answered:
  • wheel width
  • wheel diameter
  • ball seat measure
  • lug bolt diameter/length
  • ET / offset
  • tire size currently using
  • tire size proposed on new rims
  • hubcentric bore match

dont forget to run your specs through this tire calc engine

also, because you are planning on using these rims/tires on 4matic, the go/no-go
specs should be less than 4%, i opine.

The front with a 37mm offset, it will fit but you might want to buy spacers to bring it out because it will be back inside the fender. The rears with 30mm offset with fit just nice.

But they should fit without rubbing. I had a set of 18's with very simular offsets. You can go as low as 42mm. It also depends on the wheels/brands you buy. Right now on my E320 is 19X9.5 offset 20 on rears and 19X8 offset 20 fronts. I have no rubbing issues.

For hub centric rings is not a big deal. There are mnay wheel dealers out there should have the size for you from whatever wheel to Mercedes hub size.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Yes they

will fit. If mB rims they will have a 66.5 center bore.
The offsets with 17's not lowered will fit fine
235/45/17 all around will pose no problems on a 4matic non lowered
except that staggered width might affect squat of the tire profile and kick off your cruise control. That is the big issue with staggered rims on 4 matic.
That and to large a difference in TD which can screw the trans.
So buy quality tires with good close tolerances
unless you cut the springs you won't ever be low enough to interfere with the tires or rims or body or suspension. On a 4 matic.

As others have asked, are these MB rims? If so for what model/year? Most E Class rims of the same era will use 12mm lug bolts with 12mm dia ball seat. However, S Class used a 14mm lug with a 14mm dia ball seat. If they are some aftermarket knock-offs who knows? Then it's best to check with the manufacturer.

Rims from MB should have the part no. engraved somewhere on the backside. You may need to clean them to find it.

They are MBs amg 17 in wheels. Off of a what was I told a 1995 sl500 but I don't know if the kid knew what car they came because he didn't know they where even stagerred . They were off of he's fathers car . They are on the car right now so don't have the time at the moment to remove them to get the numbers off the back . I will try ASAP.

One thing you could do if you have a micrometer or vernier caliper is measure the diameter of one of the lug bolts. Pretty easy to tell if they are 12 or 14mm.

There is a special hybrid lug bolt available from places like Rad-USA and Prestige Wheels. It has a 14mm ball seat but a 12mm shank. Also the lug bolt should extend out of the back of the wheel about 17mm. This is just enough to ensure you capture 6 threads but not so much that the bolts extend thru the rear hubs and hit the emergency brake shoes.
