I think they look better on the SL. The rims don't flow with the lines on the E

IMO..those rims are fugly on any car! You're better off purchasing this set instead and you don't need to worry about fitment issues!

I dont think I want E55 rims. I was thinking about CLS500 rims or SL500 designo editions.

those I posted, the price was just right, but you guys are right it would look just too wierd.

I'm sorry but I'll have to agree with Ryda. Those don't belong on any car.

How do you like these rims?

I have one rim (brand new) I can sell you. You'd just need to buy 3 more.

I don't see any appeal in those wheels.

Also, I'm curious why people who are such avid wheel fans call them rims instead of wheels? Isn't a rim just one part of a wheel?

"Wheels", "rims" and "dubs" tend to be on an increasing bling scale, but the difference is mostly a matter of who is doing the talking, not what the items themselves are like. People like me who think that the purpose of wheels is to keep the tires round will call them "wheels"; people who think that the main function of a car is to showcase their wheels tend to call them "dubs." "Rims" is somewhere in between.

Of course you know that 'dubs' are officially 20" wheels, right?

... unless they are 22" "dubs" ...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-Chr...QQcmdZViewItem
... or 24" "dubs" ...

... but you're right that "dubs" refers to XL-XXL size, as well as bling level.

yea i agree those rims are ugly on an E class. Go for some Modulare m3 or e55 AMG wheels, agressive wheels.

You can even go black w/ chrome lip! sIck!

If im not totally mistaken , the offsets on the CLS and SL wheels wont clear the W211 chassis.
