Mirror doesn't always fold down in reverse gear
I noticed that the passenger side mirror doesn't always fold town when I am in reverse gear. I double checked the settings in the cluster and it is enabled to move down.
Is there anything you suggest I could do before I bring it in for a check up?

Oh Konigstiger, I think that's it. I adjusted my seat a bit and therefore also the mirrors and used the button to switch mirrors. I'll check into that later... Thank you for this hint!!!

I gave up on mine. It will tilt down then back up but never to the correct position. I put it in the correct position car in Drive and then do a memory reset, but it still never returns. Finally I took it to the dealer. They set it for me while I was in the car. Still it never returns. So I surrender.

They told me and invoiced replacing it. But who knows what really happened.
It may not have the most current. But consider it takes 2 days and I have to drive 200 miles to have it done it doesn't go to the dealer until a big event is needed. However I have had the suspension raise malfunction for about 3 months. They could find no problem last time for this issue. It will go back for that I will check the mirror issue again.

Thank you for posting this. I've been trying for several weeks to figure out why my passenger side mirror wasn't working when I was in reverse, but sure enough, once I pushed the button in, it works again!

I know an old post and I was wondering if there is a remedy for the problem that all of the sudden the mirror won't come back up when I switch from R to D. I have to push repeatedly the memory button that holds my seat/mirror/steering column setting to bring it back up. Is there a newer door control module perhaps @ Konigstiger? I don't wanna disable the feature as it helps a lot to see the curb and the bushes in the rear better.

I found out something that helps temporarily:
Tilt the mirror glass all the way up and all the way down 3 to 4 times in a row. Then place it into position you like for D. Then save it again with M + 1, 2 or 3. With mine it works fine for about 4 to 8 weeks. Then it starts all over again.
Weird thing is that there is never a error code saved in the door control module which would help to determine what really the problem might be.
If I have some spare time I might just buy a used DCM with a newer software and see if that makes any difference.
