car too low !!
hey guys, need a lil help around here.... this morning i went 4 a drive and my car display screen showed this message( stop, car too low ! ). i stoped in a near by gas station to look underneet the car, thats when i realized that the driver side of the car was lower then the rest of my car...i dont recall on hitin a pot hole or anything that would blow my shocks ....anybody ever had a similiar problem...and any hints on wut the problem might be and cost ....would be apriciated ...thanks ...

Most probably a bad Airmatic shock, common on older W211s, search is your friend.

Most probably a bad Airmatic shock, common on older W211s, search is your friend.

Only factory parts available for the replacement air spring. Basically it is an a rubber sack (airmount air bag type). for a spring. A tiny crack will form in the fold and cause it to leak.

Vett: are you saying there is a bladder replacement for front shocks? I have not seen that part available, if there is one, do you have a part #? Was your problem resolved by a shock component replacement as opposed to a complete shock assembly?

I was referring to the rear suspension. There is an air spring on the rear that fails and will give you a too low warning. Sorry if I missed yours was front.

no, i have to get the complete shock assembly but still, its way cheaper and supose 2 be good quality with a warranty. So imma try that out, juss waitin for a call from the factory to see how long it will take for it to arrived in Cananda
