Just dropped off my car this morning ('07 E350 Sport w/ 34,500 miles +/-) for it's scheduled service F maintenance. The dealership was having a special so I was told it would be $419 plus any other possible recommended service found at time of inspection. I'm looking for help to see what some of the "possible recommended services" maybe and what is truly necessary. Transmission flush, etc. Has anyone had this service as of lately? What should I expect coming from my service manager?
Hmm, that sounds really inexpensive. Service F is supposed to be about 7 hours. Big items, every 2 years brake fluid, 39000 transmission flush. HVAC filter every 20000 miles or two years. I would guess those items are not included in the 419.00
I thought it was super cheap as well from what I have read here on the forums. I guess I'll have to wait and see how I turn out when I go to pick it up...
I had my service F about three weeks ago. They will check the service records to see what needs to be done (provided it's been serviced at the dealer). On my car I changed the climate filter myself, had tires rotated at Sams Club, changed both engine air filters + engine oil and filter. The dealer replaced brake fluid, did a 25-point inspection and tested the electrical system. I think the 7 hour for a service F is just an estimate.
My gauge cluster was calling for a Service F but when I got to the dealership apparently it was only due for a Service B. I guess this is why my service was so much cheaper. Thanks for the feedback guys.
I am new to this forum, I have a 2003 w211 e320 petrol with 13000 miles on the clock. Honestly.....?
It is due an F service in 1500 miles, what will I expect from them? A hefty bill I know, but should it have all the bells and whistles done at this mileage?

Dear all, I recently bought a 2005 Mercedes E320 with 54167 miles on it, and the dashboard shows "Service F exceeded by 376 days"... Just wondering what's included in a typical "Service F" and what's a reasonable price (parts + labor) for doing Service F (dealder price vs independent mechanic price)? I live in San Francisco Bay area (where everything seems to be a bit more expensive). Thanks!
