2005 e500 center dash speaker buzz?
I guess the problem here is there are no upgrade replacements for this speaker, just the stock replacement which will also become blown.....
Anybody have an upgrade for this speaker?

I replaced mine few months ago so I'll check for part number at home .. purchased from parts.com (like $70) and it took all of 15 minutes to replace ... also had to replace the heater blower motor which was starting that annoying squeek and replaced in 30 minutes ... many items are very easy to do on these cars.
Edit: thought I found my answer for the speaker removal, but it only applies to 2003 w211...

just pulled the bad center speaker and will be calling the $tealer tomorrow to see about price and availability.
I see the "list" price over at parts.com is $48.50 and the "final price" is $34.80 for a replacement.
Does anyone know if this is an OEM, or aftermarket.
thanks

I browsed to it and did a manual search.
it must be one of instrument panel speakers for non Logic 7 systems.
I found the one I needed and you are correct. $73.20
The local dealer here in Bellevue, WA quoted $113 in stock.
SO has anyone ordered that speaker from parts.com and does it have the L7 sticker on the back of the magnet?

but i get more bass now
