Ah right, however I've seen the 3M tape come off pretty easily... then again if I need to take it off I'd be screwed, and I wash my car by hand always now so no risk of it coming off in a mechanical car wash. Hmmm...

Last week I had;
1. Oil change
2. Differential fluid change
3. HVAC flap actuator & motor replacement - was a 13 hr. job but all the air now blows thru the designated areas as they should and not leak up at the passenger window as if in defrost mode.
BUT, while the E550 was at Jackie Cooper Mercedes-Benz, I got a 2013 GLK350 4Matic in Palladium Silver Metallic as a loaner.
I think I have my wife convinced it's time to trade in her Nissan Pathfinder...

I miss this forum too, if you haven't test drive a 335d yet, go ahead and do it, you will not regret it, specially one with sport package

335d vs CDI
So far I haven't driven the 335d too much yet but
Negative on the 335d is a bit smaller in size but the kids still have enough room.
The ride is a bit harder (sport package plus low profile tires (35 on the rear)
On the positive the engine power is awesome!
The handling is a lot better, the sport seats are more suppotive And I definitely love the look of the D
I have not driven enough to compare MPG.

I kind of left it up to my tire guy at Discount but i think he is getting the Michelin Pilot A/S 3 tires. He said they are better and more quiet than what i currently have, which is the Michelin Pilot A/S tires. Apparently these are just a newer/ better version now.

I just heard from an owner of a 2013 BMW 5 series Diesel who already has 50,000 miles on it since December! He traded in a 385,000 mile 2006 CDI. He already dislikes the BMW and is ordering a new E250 from me. He has been told from many sources that the new Diesel in the BMW will not last nearly as long as the prior models and even less compared to the Mercedes Diesel.

Did my several step paint treatment again, not waxed yet but have the sealant down to hopefully last part way through the harsh winters. Took her to a car meet with Jeremy in the E55 as always, and saw 5280Busa there with his new CLS63... 600hp at the wheels and 760lb-ft of torque at the wheels... at 6000ft of elevation. By far one of the slickest MBs ever. We all left at the same time coming out and there was a beautiful symphony of roaring Mercedes V8s on the way out that the kids filming seemed to enjoy

06 S211 E500 4Matic
This week:
16x Bosch Platin spark plugs DIY
Center speaker DIY
4x Continental DWS tires. Michelin Primacy MXM4 were toast (Manufactured 6th week of 2010). So a little under 4 years. Were pretty much new when I bought the car with 135k miles. In 2 years I've owned the car, the tires started to develop major cracks. Will see how Continentals hold up with 50k tread warranty.
Very Soon:
Control arm/subframe bushings, tie rods, ball joints etc. Going to freshen up the suspension basically.
