What did you do for your W211 today?

So far, just the price of the pipes. $1073. I'm still not sure how much the muffler shop will change me to cut these tips off and fit the stock amg tips on. But I'm guessing around another $100-150

Got the tips replaced today. Came out pretty good. Sound didn't change any as you might imagine. Couldn't use the original tips due to the way the original pipes were bent down. So I picked out some aftermarket tips that somewhat match the stock tips. After welding, I sprayed the welds flat black. Doesn't look half bad IMHO.

Once a while I do something stupid like this ... Does anyone know if I can replace this piece by myself? It's 2007 model. Thanks!

MBWorld Fanatic!
As for me, as the bad weather rolls in I decided to keep the E550 garaged and did my regiment of complete wax strip down with an emulsifying detergent, thorough wash with a pressure washer, wet-dry process, acrylic paint sealant, 2 layers of carnuba wax blend, then a hardener. I try to do this once a month or once every two months to keep it protected. Not too bad for a middle of the winter detail job (don't mind the terrible cell phone picture and wood working equipment in the garage):

Replaced lower control arm bushings and alignment.
Service D, myself at the cost of $0.00!! :-)
I sell these amazing vehicles, one of the perks is the use of the shop!

Got it back from the dealer yesterday, had to pay for replacing SBC Pressure Reservoir, almost 1200$.
Fortunately the message "Service Brakes Visit Workshop" is gone.
