Cabin air filter

Does anyone know of a video that shows how to change the cabin air filter on a W211? (If not, I'll make one when I figure out how to do it for the benefit of others...)

Otherwise where can I find a nice step by step idiot's guide to changing the cabin air filter (preferably with photos)...

The dealer is quoting $140 to change this... How much is the actual part for this? Can someone recommend a link for purchasing the genuine MB filter at a good price?

Thanks!

Okay so upon further searching, I found an amazingly detailed explanation....

I can still use a recommendation for obtaining the part...

Whenever I want genuine MB parts with the real MB box I use
http://www.bmwmercedesparts.com
By far the best place to get the real deal. The only other place I get stuff from is as mentioned above @ autohausaz. I take care of my BMW X5, my Mercedes W211, and my cousin's BMW E60 using those two sources. You can't go wrong.
The cabin filter is so simple you will laugh at the schmucks paying stealership prices for that sort of thing.

Thanks! I really can't believe they want to charge $140 to put in a $20 filter that, based on the instructions above, even I can do...

Did you get one ordered?
I spoke with a lady who came into my work a year ago who had a W211. Long story short, her husband did not let her have me change her filters (air and cabin) and save well over $250 because he wanted a receipt showing work was done at a dealership!! He even know the parts were coming from a Merc dealership and ORIGINAL Mercedes-Benz stamped boxes. More money than sense I guess.

I just picked up the filter. I could have saved money if I ordered it online and will do it next time. Online this part is around $24 and with shipping probably about $30 delivered to the door. My local MB dealer charged me $44 for the filter! Still better than $140...

I have a neighbor who is very nice and handy with stuff and he offered to review the instructions posted above and do the filter change with me so I'm hoping two reasonably competent guys can figure this out

I had the dealer do the rest of the service stuff...
