Center Console Option Thingy

Hi. New to this forum. Im looking at buying myself an E550 and Im wondering what the button to the right of the gear lever marked with a fan symbol is for? Appears to be something off the option list?

Thanks /Bo

You can read the manual over at mbusa. What year are you looking at?

http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalA...550_e63amg.pdf

The ones at the bottom I believe are the airmatic and to turn off the parktronic. Comes in handy when going through a car wash, otherwise the parktronic beeps all the time while it gets washed.

Hi and thanks for your reply. This is the second E-Class onwers manual Ive gone through and theres no reference to it in any of them. Nor an pdf for the factory option list that lightly browsed through. It was massive...

Ah well. Its not enormously important. I was just curious. Thanks /Bo

It is to control the ride height and the stiffness of the damper control in the Airmatic suspension for the leftmost and middle buttons. The rightmost button is for the switch of the Parktronic.

What year were you looking at and what was the VIN number? Certain years had different sets of options and maybe it's not a US car. Once you decode the vin, it may list the option.

Agree, auxiliary heater (228) for non USA diesel as mentioned data card should confirm.
